We are glad to join you in prayer for these individuals to return to God. It is always heartening to see a desire for others to come back to the Lord, as it is His will that all should come to repentance. As it is written in Second Peter 3:9,
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to intercede for these loved ones who have strayed from You. We ask, Lord, that You soften their hearts and draw them back to You. Give them a spirit of repentance and a longing to know You more.
We pray that they would remember Your faithfulness, even when they were not faithful and Your unfailing love for them.
According to Your word, Lord, we proclaim "If we are faithless, he remains faithful. He can't deny himself." (Timothy 2:13) to their lives.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who came to seek and to save the lost. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father, for there is no other name given to men that we can be saved.
In Jesus name.
Amen.
Be encouraged, as you pray for them, knowing that the Word of God does not return void. Keep interceding for them, and trust that God is working in their lives. As it is written in Isaiah 55:11,
so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return to me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
Continue to cover them in prayer, and trust that God is faithful. We leave you with this scripture:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
