We understand that you care deeply for your friend, but let us first align our hearts with God's will and His Word. It's important to remember that God desires us to seek Him first in all matters, including relationships. As it is written in Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

We must also ensure that our feelings and actions align with biblical principles. If this friendship is to evolve into a courtship, it should be guided by God's design for relationships, which is intended to lead to a godly marriage between a man and a woman. As stated in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" It is crucial that both parties are believers in Christ.

Regarding your feelings, we encourage you to surrender them to God. Psalm 37:4 WEB tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in Him, He will place the right desires in your heart.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our beloved sister and her friend. Lord, we ask that You guide their friendship according to Your will. Help them to seek You first and to delight in You. If it is Your plan for them to be together, we pray that You reveal this clearly to both of them. Give them wisdom to honor You in their actions and words. Most importantly, Lord, draw them closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we would like to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 WEB states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you or your friend have not yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, we encourage you to do so today.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
