We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you both are facing, and we are here to pray and provide biblical encouragement for you. Firstly, it is so important to acknowledge the source of our help and salvation. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is also by His name that we have any expectation of blessing.
Regarding the financial struggles, we want to encourage both of you to trust in God's provision. In Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, Jesus says, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This means focusing on your relationship with God, living righteously, and trusting Him to provide for your needs.
Regarding the desire for marriage, we commend the intention as it aligns with biblical principles. God designed marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. In Genesis 2:24 WEB, it is written, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." We encourage you both to continue seeking God's will for your lives and to build your relationship on biblical principles. It is also important to note that believers should look for a spouse, not just a partner. Courtship should be with the intention to marry and should be God's will for your life.
Regarding the struggle with finances, it is important to be good stewards of what God has given us. In Romans 13:8 WEB, it is written, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." We advise managing finances responsibly, paying off debts, and living within your means.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brothers and sisters in need. Lord, we pray for their financial struggles, that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray for the man mentioned, that You would open doors of employment for him and provide for his car bills. Lord, we ask that You would help them manage their finances wisely and be responsible stewards of what You have given them.
We also pray for their relationship, Lord. We ask that You would guide them in Your will and help them build a God-honoring marriage. We pray for their mental and emotional well-being, that You would heal their fears and stress and provide them with Your peace and strength.
Most importantly, we pray for their salvation. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them, draw them closer to You, and help them grow in their faith. We pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to continue praying and seeking God's face. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Trust in God, and He will see you through.
