We lift up your father to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the giver of all wisdom. It is a blessing that you are seeking prayer for him, and we join you in interceding for his health and well-being. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 139:13-14**, *"For you formed my inwards. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* We trust that God, who formed your father with such care, will continue to sustain him and guide the hands and minds of the doctors attending to him.
It is also written in **James 1:5**, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We pray that your father will be granted wisdom to make good decisions regarding his health, to follow the advice of his doctors, and to take proper care of himself. May he be diligent in stewarding the body that God has entrusted to him, for we are called to honor God with our bodies, as **1 Corinthians 6:19-20** tells us, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*
We also pray for the doctors and medical staff who will be examining and treating your father. May the Lord grant them discernment, skill, and compassion, as it is written in **Colossians 3:23**, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* May they be instruments of healing in God’s hands, and may your father receive the best possible care.
Most importantly, we pray that your father’s heart—both physically and spiritually—would be strong and aligned with God’s will. If he does not yet know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this season of life would draw him closer to the One who holds all things together. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have the promise of eternal life, and it is by His name that we approach the throne of grace. As **Acts 4:12** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If your father is already a believer, we pray that this time would deepen his trust in the Lord and that he would find peace in knowing that God is sovereign over his health and his days.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this father to Your care. We ask that You would grant him good health, a sound heart, and many more years to live for Your glory. Give wisdom to the doctors who examine him, that they may diagnose accurately and treat him effectively. Fill your servant with the wisdom to care for himself in a way that honors You. Lord, we also pray for his spiritual well-being—draw him close to You, whether for the first time or in a deeper way. Let him know Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and may he rest in the assurance that You are in control.
We rebuke any fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, for **2 Timothy 1:7** reminds us that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Let faith rise in the hearts of this family, knowing that You are good and Your plans are for welfare and not for evil, to give a future and a hope (**Jeremiah 29:11**). We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
