We come before the Lord together, lifting up your request for this permission that is urgently needed. It is good that you have acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As Scripture reminds us, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). We are grateful you have placed your trust in Him, for He hears the cries of His children and acts on their behalf.
In this situation, we recall the words of Jesus: *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened"* (Matthew 7:7-8, WEB). You have done your part by submitting the request and paying the required fee, and now we trust God to move the hearts of those in authority to notice and grant this permission swiftly. We also remember Proverbs 21:1, which tells us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* Though this speaks of a king, the principle applies to all in positions of authority—they are under God’s sovereign control.
At the same time, we encourage you to rest in the peace of God, knowing that He is in control even when things seem delayed or uncertain. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Anxiety or frustration can easily creep in when we face bureaucratic delays, but we must trust that God’s timing is perfect. He may be using this moment to teach patience, reliance on Him, or even to protect you from something unseen.
Let us also consider whether there is any lesson the Lord may be teaching through this waiting period. Are there areas in your life where you need to surrender control to Him? Are you trusting in your own efforts, or are you fully leaning on His provision? *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Sometimes delays are divine appointments to draw us closer to Him.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this need for permission to be granted. Lord, You see the urgency of this situation, and You know the details far better than we do. We ask that You move in the hearts of those in authority, causing them to notice the paid fees and grant the necessary permission without delay. Remove any obstacles, whether seen or unseen, and let Your favor rest upon this matter. Father, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your sovereign will. If there is any reason for this delay that we are unaware of, reveal it to our brother/sister and guide them accordingly.
We also pray for peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus as they wait. Let this be a time of growing faith, where they see Your hand at work in ways they may not have expected. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Shield, and their Strong Tower. May they rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good, according to Your purpose.
If there has been any oversight on their part, Lord, bring it to light and provide wisdom to correct it. If this delay is simply a test of faith, strengthen them to endure with patience and joy. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your name be glorified through this situation.
We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness, knowing that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. May this testimony of Your provision encourage others to trust in You as well. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
As you wait, continue to seek the Lord in prayer and praise. Sometimes worshipping in the midst of the wait shifts our focus from the problem to the Problem-Solver. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If the permission is still delayed, consider reaching out respectfully to the authorities as a follow-up, but do so with a heart at peace, knowing God is in control. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for God’s perfect outcome.
