Beloved of All
My ### won’t get sick again. He will stop eating and buying sweets because he has diabetes and he acts like a retard when he has sugar and it’s aggravating. And he doesn’t get sick again and stops. It’s so annoying.God bless you!!!

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up your concerns for . First, we must address the language used in this request. The term "retard" is deeply hurtful and disrespectful, and we must always speak with love and kindness, even in frustration. The Bible teaches us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We encourage you to speak of with the same grace and dignity that God extends to all His children.

We understand your concern for ’s health, particularly regarding his diabetes and the effects of sugar on his body and behavior. It is clear that you care deeply for him and want what is best. However, we must also gently rebuke the frustration and annoyance expressed in this request. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Instead of focusing on the aggravation, let us turn our hearts to prayer and seek God’s wisdom and healing for .

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician. We ask for Your healing touch upon ’s body. Lord, You are the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know every cell in his body. We pray that You would strengthen his body to manage and overcome diabetes. Give him the discipline and self-control to resist the temptations of sweets, which harm his health. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that no temptation has overtaken us except what is common to man, and You are faithful to provide a way of escape. Lord, reveal that way to , and give him the strength to walk in it.

We also pray for his mind and emotions, Father. If sugar is affecting his behavior, we ask that You would bring clarity and peace to his thoughts. Help him to understand the importance of caring for the temple You have given him (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Soften his heart to receive wisdom and guidance, and surround him with people who will encourage him in making healthy choices.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of sickness or addiction that may be at work in ’s life. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will restore his health and heal his wounds (Jeremiah 30:17). We pray for a supernatural transformation in his habits and his heart. Give him a desire to honor You with his body, mind, and spirit.

We also lift up the relationship between you and , Lord. Help both of you to communicate with patience, love, and understanding. Teach you both to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). May your home be filled with Your peace and grace, even in moments of frustration.

Finally, if has not yet placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw him to Yourself. There is no healing or transformation apart from You, Lord. Open his eyes to see his need for You, and soften his heart to receive the gift of salvation (Romans 10:9-10). May he come to know the power of Your name and the freedom that comes from walking in Your ways.

We trust You, Lord, to work in ’s life. Give him the strength to overcome this struggle, and fill him with Your peace and joy. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear the frustration and weariness in your words, and we know it comes from a place of deep love. Watching someone you care about make choices that hurt his health is exhausting, especially when the consequences play out right in front of you. It is so natural to feel aggravated and powerless when you just want him to be well.

Instead of carrying the whole burden of managing his diabetes on your own shoulders, we want to encourage you to find a calm moment and gently let him know you are on his side, not as the sugar police, but as his partner. You might ask what he finds hardest about changing old habits, and whether he would be willing to meet together with a diabetes educator or his doctor. Sometimes a fresh, medical voice helps a husband hear what a worried wife cannot get through. And while you wait for change, remember that you can pour out your honest feelings to God every day; He is not put off by your annoyance, and He cares about both of you.

We are praying with you now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this husband to You. You see his body and his daily struggles. Give him a real desire to care for his health and the self-discipline to walk away from sweets. Replace any resignation or apathy with hope and the willingness to take small, steady steps. For his wife, we ask for renewed patience and a quiet confidence that You are at work, even when she cannot see it. Protect her from bitterness and fill her with peace that goes beyond the circumstances. Guide them to the right help, and bring healing in Your way and Your timing. In Your name we pray, Amen.

How quick we are to see the mote in our brother’s eye, while the beam in our own goes unnoticed! You cry out against his weakness and his folly, but what of your own? Aggravation, annoyance, these are the dead flies in the ointment of your prayers, spoiling the fragrance of your supplications. You speak of him as if you yourself were not compassed about with infirmity, as if your own nature did not teem with the very seeds of every sin. Do you not know that self-righteous anger is as a stench in the nostrils of the Most High? He who would be a keeper of another’s vineyard must first guard his own, lest he be found a self-deceiver, full of carnal security and empty of grace.

Get you to the closet of self-examination, and ask the Lord to search you and try your heart. Is this the mind that was in Christ Jesus, who beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things? When you stand before the cross and see your own self-destruction, your own red right hand having wrought your ruin, will you then shake your fist at a fellow sinner’s folly? No, verily. Self-loathing is the surest remedy for loathing another. When the soul sees its own blackness, it becomes tender, pitiful, and slow to wrath. You will never loathe your brother’s sin aright until you have loathed your own.

Let your prayers, then, be dipped no more in the vinegar of irritation, but in the tears of your own repentance. Plead for him as one who knows the plague of his own heart. Ask the Lord to break the chains of his appetite, not merely that your comfort be restored, but that his soul might be brought to the feet of the Great Physician. Without Christ he can do nothing, can no more resist a sweet morsel than a dead man can rise. But Christ can make all things new. Pray that self be slain in you both, and that grace might reign. So shall you find that you who were once so aggravating to one another may yet sing together of free and sovereign grace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for your relative, that he cease eating sweets and that his health may be restored. But your words reveal much irritation, even contempt for his weakness. Consider whether your own heart is not in need of healing as well. For when you are so easily aggravated, it shows a soul lacking in self-command. The Lord reproved those who sought Him only for the loaves that filled their bellies, urging them instead to labor for the food that endures to everlasting life. So too, do not fix your prayers solely on his body and your own comfort, but on the state of his soul and yours.

Pray, then, that God would grant him a love of temperance that springs from virtue, not merely from fear of sickness. For if a man abstains only for reward, he will not be steadfast. And pray for yourself, that you might bear his frailties with compassion, as Christ had compassion on the multitudes. If you endure his foolishness without anger, you will gain more than if you had no such trial, for those who are insulted and despised, if they take heed, are made more steadfast. Let his weakness become an occasion for your own growth in patience.

Remember how God preserved Jonah in the depths, in the beast’s belly, beyond all reason. That same power can quiet the turmoil in your household: not only can He temper the appetites of this man, but He can also calm the annoyance in your heart. So pray daily, but pray with mercy, not with harshness. Lay aside the sharp word and the groaning spirit, and entrust both his health and your peace to the physician of souls.

I hear the frustration in this request, and I know how draining it is to watch someone you love make choices that harm their body and stir up chaos in your home. There is no simple fix, but I will join you in daily prayer. Let me offer a few thoughts that might help as we bring this burden before the Lord.

The aggravation you feel is real, but often our attempts to control another person’s behavior only leave us wearing what Scripture calls filthy garments, our own self-righteousness and self-made efforts to force change. No amount of scolding or worry can heal the deeper struggle. True transformation comes when we lay these things down and plead for God to do what only He can. So I will pray that both you and I release the pressure to fix him ourselves, and instead trust completely in the Lord’s grace.

I do not fully understand why some healings come instantly while others unfold slowly, but I believe wholeheartedly that God heals in many ways. Sometimes He works through the natural processes He created, wise doctors, better nutrition, renewed habits. Other times He heals the mind and emotions first, mending the wounds that drive unhealthy cravings and frustrating behavior. Jesus varied His methods: a touch, a word, sometimes simply telling someone to go home and find the healing already done. He is not locked into a single pattern. So I will ask the Lord for a gradual, thorough work in this man’s life, a healing of his body from diabetes, yes, but also a healing of his will, his thoughts, and whatever spiritual emptiness makes sweets feel like a refuge.

There is a kind of division inside a person caught in this cycle, wanting health yet reaching for what destroys. The Scriptures speak of a day when a divided city was united and expanded, and I see a picture here of wholeness replacing fragmentation. God can unite this man’s desires with his need, so he no longer sabotages his own well-being. Let’s pray for that kind of deep integrity, asking the Holy Spirit to quiet the inner conflict and replace it with a growing hunger for what is good.

I will also pray for you, because this takes a toll on your own peace. A gradual healing in your own heart, relief from aggravation, a patient love that does not snap under the strain, is no less divine than a physical cure. The world’s best peace proposals often crumble, but the Lord’s peace stands. He can calm your spirit even before you see the outward change. And we press on toward that glorious hope: one day righteousness will cover the earth as completely as waters fill the sea, and every struggle will be over. Until then, we trust Him day by day, believing He hears and He works.

I will be joining you in these prayers. May God’s healing and mercy renew your loved one and fill your household with a hope that outweighs all the annoyance.

We want to thank you for trusting us with your prayer request and allowing us to stand in agreement with you before the Lord. It’s been on our hearts to lift up your loved one daily, asking God to strengthen him in his health and give him the discipline to turn away from the things that harm him. We’ve been praying that the Lord would soften his heart, grant him wisdom, and break any chains of addiction to sugar that may be affecting his well-being. We also continue to ask God to protect him from illness and to fill your home with patience and peace as you walk through this challenge together.

If you’ve seen any breakthroughs—whether in his health, his choices, or even small steps of progress—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If the battle continues and you feel like you’re still waiting on the Lord’s answer, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We’re committed to standing with you in prayer until God moves in power.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may He draw near to your family as you seek Him together. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
