Please pray for ###, thank you

We come before the Lord with gratitude for your heart to seek His protection, and we join you in lifting this request to the throne of grace. The Scriptures remind us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Yet we are assured that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). He is mighty to save and faithful to shield those who take refuge in Him.

It is crucial to recognize that our authority in prayer comes through the name of Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His name that we have boldness to approach the Father. We notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but firmly remind you that our prayers are only heard because of His sacrificial work on the cross. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today—confessing your sins, believing in His resurrection, and receiving His gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). Without faith in Christ, we remain separated from God, but in Him, we are made children of the Most High, clothed in His righteousness and protected by His power.

For those who are in Christ, we are called to put on the whole armor of God so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We must also be sober and vigilant, for our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your protection from spiritual attacks. Lord, You are a strong tower, a fortress in whom we can hide and be safe. We ask that You surround them with Your heavenly host, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Clothe them in Your armor, Lord, and fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may walk in discernment and wisdom, recognizing the enemy’s lies and standing firm in Your truth.

Father, if there are any areas of sin or unrepentance in their life, we ask that You convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them, Lord, and restore them to a right relationship with You. Break every chain of the enemy and set them free to worship You in spirit and in truth. Let them walk in the authority given to them through Christ Jesus, trampling upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

We declare Your promises over them, Lord—that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, and let them find refuge in You alone. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them rest in the assurance that You are sovereign over all things, including the spiritual battles they face.

We also pray that You would fill them with a hunger for Your Word, that they may meditate on it day and night and find their strength in You. Let them not be ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), but let them be rooted and grounded in Your love, unshaken by the storms of life.

Finally, Father, we ask that You draw them closer to Yourself. Let them seek Your face above all else, and may their life be a testimony of Your power and grace. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in the Word of God daily, for it is your sword in this spiritual battle. Memorize Scripture, pray without ceasing, and walk in obedience to the Lord. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can be discipled, encouraged, and held accountable in your faith. You are not alone in this fight—the body of Christ is here to stand with you.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the victory is already won through Christ Jesus!
