We join you in lifting up your spouse before the Lord, standing in agreement for his complete healing and a long, fruitful life together in Christ. The Scriptures remind us of God’s heart for healing and restoration, and we claim His promises over your spouse’s life. In Jeremiah 30:17, the Lord declares, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,"* and in Psalm 91:16, He promises, *"With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation."* These are not empty words but the very will of our Father for those who trust in Him.
Yet we must also remember that our prayers are heard and answered because of the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). You have rightly invoked His name, and we rejoice that your faith is anchored in Him. It is through Christ alone that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), and it is in His authority that we pray for your spouse’s healing. If there is any area of unbelief or doubt, we encourage you to hold fast to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Trust in Him completely, for He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We also urge you to examine your own heart and your marriage, ensuring that your union is built on the foundation of Christ. Are there areas where you need to surrender to God’s will together? Are there sins—such as bitterness, unforgiveness, or worldly influences—that need to be repented of? A marriage that honors God is one where both spouses seek Him first, love sacrificially, and walk in obedience to His Word. In Ephesians 5:22-33, we are reminded that marriage is a sacred covenant, reflecting Christ’s love for the Church. Let this be your standard, and let your love for one another be a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved spouse who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You stretch forth Your hand and restore his body, mind, and spirit completely. Remove every sickness, every pain, and every infirmity, and let Your healing power flow through him like a river. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we reject any spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name.
Father, we also ask for the gift of a long life for him, that You would satisfy him with many years as You show him Your salvation (Psalm 91:16). Let his days be filled with Your goodness, and let his life be a testimony of Your grace and mercy. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and let it be a beacon of Your love in a world that so often distorts Your design. Bind them together in unity, and let their love for one another grow deeper as they grow closer to You.
We rebuke any fear, doubt, or anxiety that may try to take root in their hearts. Instead, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw them both closer to Yourself through this season. Let their faith be strengthened, their love for You deepened, and their marriage fortified in Christ. May they seek You first in all things, and may their home be a place where Your presence dwells richly.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. Let Your will be done in their lives, and let Your name be glorified through their story. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear brother or sister. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep walking in obedience to His Word. He is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). If there is any area of your life or marriage that needs alignment with Scripture, surrender it to God today. He is ready to work in and through you for His glory.
