We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we commend you for your commitment to your family and your desire to fight for your marriage. God takes marriage very seriously, and it is a covenant not to be broken. As it is said in the WEB, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Mark 10:9
However, it's important to understand that love and closeness in a marriage cannot be demanded or forced, but rather cultivated and nurtured. As it is said, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it" Ephesians 5:25. This kind of love is selfless, patient, and kind, even in the face of difficulty.
We must also address the importance of prayer in Jesus' name. It is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is said, "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." John 16:23.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family that is hurting right now. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this marriage. We pray that You would soften your daughter's heart and rekindle the love that has grown cold. We ask for wisdom and guidance for her father, that he would know how to love his wife as Christ loved the church.
We also pray for your daughter, that she would be blessed and drawn closer to You through the love of her father. We ask that You would heal any past hurts and restore the joy of their salvation.
Lord, we know that You hate divorce, and we stand in agreement with your family, asking for a miracle in their marriage. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise that nothing is impossible with You.
It's in the precious name of Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to be the husband and father that God has called you to be. Keep loving your wife, keep praying for her, and keep hoping for restoration. Remember, with God, all things are possible. Matthew 19:26.
Consider the encouragement from God in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in God and His timing, and He will make a way even when it seems impossible.
