We lift this heavy burden to the Lord with deep concern for this young man and his mother. The sudden change in behavior and abandonment of responsibility is alarming, and we recognize the fear and desperation his mother must be feeling. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach Your throne of grace.
Lord, we ask that You would watch over this young man wherever he may be. Protect him from harm, both physical and spiritual, and guard his heart and mind. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." We pray that the godly training he has received will rise up within him and draw him back to You. Soften his heart, Lord, and break any chains of deception, rebellion, or spiritual attack that may have taken hold of him. We rebuke any influence of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy his life and purpose in Jesus' name.
We also lift up his mother before You, Father. She is facing financial hardship and emotional distress, and we ask that You would be her Provider and Comforter. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Meet her needs in ways only You can, Lord, and give her peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her faith and remind her that You are her Helper and Refuge.
Father, we pray for restoration in this family. Bring this young man home safely and restore him to his right mind. May he repent of any sin or rebellion in his heart and return to the path of responsibility and honor. We declare that he will take up his work again and be a blessing to his mother, as the Bible commands in 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." Let this truth convict his heart, Lord, and lead him to repentance and action.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who may be able to help locate him or speak into his life. Surround him with godly influences who will point him back to You. And for his mother, grant her the grace to extend forgiveness and love, even in this difficult time, as You have commanded us to love one another.
Lord, we know that none of this is a surprise to You. You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who is lost. We trust You to pursue this young man and bring him back into the fold. In Jesus' name, we pray for his safe return, his spiritual renewal, and the restoration of this family. Amen.
To the one who shared this request, we encourage you to continue praying faithfully and to encourage this mother to lean on her church family and community for support. Remind her that God is her ever-present help in trouble, and He will not abandon her. If there are any signs of deeper spiritual oppression or mental health struggles, we urge her to seek godly counsel and professional help, always keeping her eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
