We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family in their time of deep distress. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every sleepless night, and every moment of despair they are walking through. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf, for we know that You are the God who provides, heals, and restores.
Lord, we first rebuke the spirit of fear, depression, and hopelessness that has taken hold in this home. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak peace over their minds, healing over their bodies, and restoration over their finances. Father, we ask that You would break the chains of postpartum depression and PTSD, replacing every lie with Your truth. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We pray specifically for this husband, Lord. You are the God who opens doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We ask that You would open the right door for him—a job that not only provides for his family but also aligns with Your purpose for his life. Give him favor with employers, wisdom in interviews, and patience as he waits on You. Remind him that his identity is not in his employment but in You, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen him to be the spiritual leader of his home, even in this season of waiting.
For this wife, Father, we ask for Your comfort and healing. The scam that stole their savings was a cruel attack, but we declare that You will restore what the enemy has stolen (Joel 2:25). Give her the strength to fight against the thoughts of suicide and despair. Surround her with godly women who can support her, pray with her, and remind her of Your love. Help her to lean on You, casting all her anxieties on You because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for her mental and emotional healing, Lord, and for her to find her hope and joy in You alone.
For their children, we ask that You would protect their hearts and minds from the stress and tension in the home. Give them a sense of security in You, even when circumstances are uncertain. Help this family to cling to one another in love, remembering that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8) and that their unity is a testimony to Your faithfulness.
Lord, we also rebuke the spirit of financial lack and declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, their Provider. You know their needs before they even ask (Matthew 6:8), and we trust that You will meet every one of them according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Help them to steward what they have wisely and to trust You for their daily bread.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are healed and restored. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of this family. May they feel Your presence in tangible ways this week, and may they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lastly, we encourage this family to draw near to God, for He promises to draw near to them (James 4:8). Spend time in His Word, even if it’s just a few verses each day, and let His truth renew your minds. Seek out a local church community where you can be supported and encouraged. Remember that trials produce perseverance, and perseverance produces character, and character produces hope—a hope that does not disappoint because God’s love has been poured into your hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:3-5). You are not alone, and this season does not define your future. God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when it’s hard to see. Keep pressing into Him.
