We lift up your precious family before the Lord with heavy hearts, standing in the gap for your wife and unborn child during this time of deep uncertainty and fear. The weight of medical concerns during pregnancy is overwhelming, and we recognize the anguish you both must be carrying. But we declare that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds your baby in His hands even now.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who formed this child in secret and knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16). We ask for Your mercy and grace to surround this little one. Lord, You are the Author of life, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore. We pray that the bloodwork results would reveal no cause for alarm, that the cystic hygroma would resolve according to Your will, and that this child would be fearfully and wonderfully made, whole and healthy in every way. Calm the storm of anxiety in the hearts of these parents, Lord. Replace their fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to torment you both. Scripture tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Stand on this truth, dear ones. Even in the waiting, God is working. Cling to His promises, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in your family (Philippians 1:6). We encourage you to saturate yourselves in His Word, meditating on verses like Jeremiah 29:11, which reminds us that God’s plans for us are for peace and not for evil, to give us a future and a hope. Let this truth anchor your souls.
We pray for wisdom for the medical team caring for your wife and baby. Give them discernment, skill, and compassion as they guide you through this journey. May they be instruments of Your healing and peace. And if the road ahead requires difficult decisions, we ask that You would make Your will unmistakably clear, granting supernatural strength and clarity to this family.
Above all, we pray that your faith would not waver, but that it would grow deeper roots in Christ during this trial. Remember that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this child fully to Him, trusting that His love for them—and for you—is perfect and unchanging. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. May Your will be done in this precious life, and may Your name be glorified through it all. Comfort this family, Lord. Wrap Your arms around them and remind them that they are not alone. We trust You, Lord, for the outcome, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In Jesus’ holy name, we pray. Amen.
