Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. We join you in lifting up this concern before the Lord, recognizing that He cares for all His creation, including the animals He has made. The Scriptures remind us in Matthew 6:26, *"See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* While our primary focus as believers is on the eternal souls of people, we know God’s sovereignty extends to every living creature, and He hears the cries of those who trust in Him.
We do want to gently address something important in your prayer. While it is good that you ended with *"in Jesus’ name,"* we notice that your prayer was directed to *"Father God Oh Mighty YAHWEH"* without explicitly calling upon the name of Jesus as the sole mediator between God and mankind. The Bible is clear that salvation, access to the Father, and the power of prayer come only through faith in Jesus Christ. As it says in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
And in Acts 4:12, *"There is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We encourage you to always pray *directly* to God the Father *in the name of Jesus*, for it is through Christ alone that our prayers are heard.
Now, let us pray together for your cat:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved pet that You have entrusted to this person’s care. Lord, You formed every creature with purpose and love, and we ask that You would watch over this cat as she labors. Grant her strength, ease her discomfort, and let the delivery be swift and safe. Protect the lives of both mother and kittens, for You are the giver of all life. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You hear even the smallest concerns of those who love You.
May this situation also remind us all of Your greater care for humanity—how much more do You long to gather us under Your wings, to save and protect us for eternity through faith in Christ? Let this be a moment where Your peace and provision are evident, and may it turn hearts toward You in gratitude and worship.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
