We lift up your son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of concern a parent carries for their child. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord hears your cry and sees your son’s struggles.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to You (Acts 4:12). We rebuke every force of darkness that seeks to oppress this young man. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, body, and spirit, and we command every spirit of fear, confusion, despair, or bondage to flee in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection to surround him like a shield. Hide him in the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:1), and let Your angels encamp around him to guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11). We pray for favor—favor in his relationships, favor in his circumstances, and favor in the eyes of those who can speak life and opportunity into his situation. Let Your light shine upon him, and let Your face be gracious to him (Numbers 6:25-26).
We also pray for healing, Father. Heal his heart from any wounds, his mind from any torment, and his body from any affliction. You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we trust in Your power to restore him completely. If there are areas where he has strayed from Your will, draw him back with Your lovingkindness. If he is unaware of the hope found in Christ, open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus died for his sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to all who believe (Romans 10:9-10).
We encourage you, as his parent, to continue covering him in prayer. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. Speak life over your son, reminding him of his identity in Christ and the plans God has for him—plans for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). If there are any ungodly influences or relationships in his life, we pray they would be removed, and that he would be surrounded by believers who will sharpen him and point him toward You (Proverbs 27:17).
Father, we ask for a miracle of freedom and breakthrough in this young man’s life. Let Your Holy Spirit move powerfully, breaking every chain and setting him free indeed (John 8:36). May he experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and may he come to know You more deeply through this trial. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
