We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your son is facing with alcoholism and his family life. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we acknowledge that we do not have access to God except by the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Let us remember that deliverance and healing are found in Jesus Christ. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray for deliverance from alcoholism for your son.
God's Word tells us that drunkards will not inherit the kingdom of God, but we are reminded that some of us were like that. But we were washed, we were sanctified, and we were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. Our prayer is that your son would turn away from his sin and turn to Jesus, for He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for us.
We also lift up your son's family life to the Lord, knowing that God desires for families to be strong and unified. As a group we discuss the issues that may be causing the problems in the family and encourage them to be addressed. We pray for healing, restoration, and the love of Christ to be evident in their home.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding for our dear brother's son. Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You, and we ask that You would set him free from the bondage of alcoholism. Help him to turn away from this sin and turn to You, trusting in the salvation that is only found in Jesus Christ. We also pray for his family, Lord. Heal and restore their relationships, and help them to walk in love and unity.
May this situation increase their faith in You and Your will.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother or sister, knowing that God is at work in your son's life and in his family. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
