Oh instead of being arrogant because he thinks you're a stupid woman who should keep her mouth shut, I'm gonna say it's greed causing his actions. Part of the fallen nature is making money our god,and to them, the end justifies the means, meaning, he's trying to get you the deal that pads HIS pockets most.So he probably gets frustrated that you're hindering him from doing that.He doesn't see you, he sees $$.So, I pray that however God sees to get you the best deal{or maybe get another realtor}, that it works out for you.Amen.

That is exactly what is going on. This man went as far as to contact my insurance company to file a claim for a new roof AFTER I told him no and that we wouldn't be fixing anything. The buyers signed a contract house was sold as is. Because its VA loan they want everything new and fixed or they dont get the funding. He also contacted my friend several times who has been helping me to get me to cooperate with him. My friend finally woke up and saw what was going on.

Also, he has to make you look like the "stupid one" because if he admits he's being shady to make money, it would be too obvious,and you wouldn't go along with it. By trying to convince you that he "knows more than you", and is "doing it for your own good," that's the deception.But by your post, you show that you figured it out anyway.Maybe you could switch agents,and advise your insurance agency that any claims put in after that are fraudulent.I think the prayer here is for wisdom.His "arrogance" I think is part of the con game,he "knows better" (So he could make a windfall.}That's why the Bible says,"the love of money is the root of all evil".

Unfortunately its too late to get a new realtor. And he has an option that the buyers and I signed stating I would not accept of sign a contractor with potential other buyers. I found out what that meant from someone else who broke it down for me. The new roof will be put on Monday but the other work is putting me in a serious bind that he told them I would do. I only signed off on the roof this morning but everything else I haven't. Now he wants to meet with me and " explain" this extra work that needs to be done in person. The meeting got changed for Sunday so I have my friend with me who knows my house inside out and who this agent said agreed to take care of things. Yes wisdom I need and patient and protection too.

And if you get a lawyer, even if they find a "loophole",then you'd have to pay umpteen dollars to the lawyer.{Just trading off one greedy person for another.}The only other thing, if he works under someone, a boss, maybe have a small tape recorder hidden somewhere, then when he goes back on his word, show the boss proof.{Although the boss could be as greedy as him ,and "cover for" him.} This is a classic example of "the love of money is the root of all evil."
