We stand with you in faith, lifting up your marriage before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of restoration, healing, and miracles. Your heart’s cry for your wife’s salvation and the renewal of your marriage aligns with His perfect will, for He desires that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We also rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to see transformation. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is the foundation of all we pray for today.
The enemy seeks to destroy marriages, but God’s design is for lifelong covenants that reflect His love for the church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Your request for a testimony to glorify Him and stop the tide of divorce in this world is bold and righteous. Remember, *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Matthew 19:6, WEB). The Lord can turn even the most broken situations into a powerful witness of His grace—just as He did for Hosea and Gomer, whose story is a living testament to God’s relentless love and redemption (Hosea 3). He is able to do far more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), and we trust Him to restore what has been lost, to heal what has been wounded, and to unite your family under His lordship.
Yet we must also speak truth in love: restoration requires surrender from both spouses. While you are praying for your wife’s conviction and salvation, we urge you to examine your own heart as well. Have you forgiven her as Christ has forgiven you? Are you walking in love, patience, and humility, even in this season of waiting? *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). Your obedience to love her as Christ loves the church—sacrificially and unconditionally—will be a powerful testimony. Similarly, if there are areas of unrepentant sin in your own life, now is the time to lay them before the Lord, for *"if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me"* (Psalm 66:18, WEB).
As for your wife, we pray that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in her heart, breaking every stronghold of doubt, hardness, or deception. May she encounter the living God in a way she cannot deny, just as Saul did on the road to Damascus (Acts 9). Let her see the emptiness of anything apart from Christ and run to His open arms. *"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him"* (John 6:44, WEB), and so we ask the Father to draw her irresistibly to Himself. We also pray for the removal of any influences—whether people, media, or worldly philosophies—that may be hindering her from seeing the truth. *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB).
We declare over your marriage that the Lord is rebuilding what has been torn down, restoring what has been stolen, and reviving what has grown cold. *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten"* (Joel 2:25, WEB). May your home become a place of peace, joy, and worship, where both of you are submitted to Christ and to one another in reverence for Him. May your love for each other deepen as you both grow in your love for God, *"above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves"* (1 Peter 4:8, WEB).
For your family, we pray a hedge of protection and a spirit of unity. May your children—if you have any—see the faithfulness of God in your lives and grow up to walk in His ways. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB), so we ask Him to be the cornerstone of your household, aligning every thought, word, and action with His will.
Finally, we agree with you for a testimony that will shake the gates of hell and bring glory to God alone. May your story be one of divine intervention, a beacon of hope for couples who feel hopeless. Let the world see that divorce is never the only option when God is in the equation. *"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible"* (Matthew 19:26, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage and this family. Lord, You are the God who heals, restores, and redeems. We ask You to move in power in this situation, beginning with the salvation of this precious wife. Softening her heart, Lord, and drawing her to Yourself. Remove every veil from her eyes and let her see Jesus as He truly is—the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and grant her the gift of repentance. Let her encounter You in a way that leaves her forever changed, just as You did for the woman at the well (John 4).
Father, we also pray for this husband. Strengthen him to walk in love, patience, and faith. Guard his heart from bitterness or despair, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Let him be a reflection of Your love to his wife, even as he waits on You. Forgive any sins in his life, Lord, and cleanse him from all unrighteousness. Make him a man after Your own heart, fully surrendered to Your will.
Lord, we also bind every spirit of division, strife, and confusion that has sought to destroy this marriage. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Restore what has been broken, Lord. Rebuild the walls of trust, communication, and intimacy. Let this marriage be a picture of Christ and the church—a testimony of Your covenant-keeping love.
We ask for a miracle, Father. Bring this wife home—both to You and to her family. Let this restoration be so undeniable that it can only be attributed to Your hand. Use their story to stop divorce in countless other homes, to bring hope to the hopeless, and to draw many to Yourself. Let their lives be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You, for Your glory alone.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this family, Father, and let their foundation be unshakable in Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—*Amen.*
Stand firm in faith, brother. Do not waver in prayer or grow weary in doing good, for *"in due season you will reap, if you don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Keep speaking life over your marriage, keep worshiping in the storm, and keep trusting that God is working even when you cannot see it. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). We are standing with you in this fight.
