Please pray for my marriage, ### wants a divorce

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear God, please help heal my marriage, ### wants a divorce. We have 2 boys together, our oldest is ### and our little one is only ###. Our oldest has witnessed so much loss, just witnessed the loss of ### whom he was ever close to, 2 great grandparents, 3 unborn siblings. Me and our son are both so scared and I take full responsibility for this. Please pray that ### can find it in his heart and mind to love and forgive and we can come together as a family. I love ### so much the very thought of us not being together is terrifying.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage and the pain that your family is experiencing. We will stand with you in prayer and offer biblical guidance during this challenging time.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the sanctity of marriage as designed by God. As it is said in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" We must also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."

Divorce is not God's desire, but He allows it under certain circumstances, such as adultery (Matthew 5:32) or if the unbelieving spouse wants to leave (1 Corinthians 7:15). However, God's heart is for reconciliation and forgiveness.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this marriage and family to You. Lord, You see the pain and suffering that this family is going through. We ask for Your healing and restoration in their marriage. Soften the husband's heart, Lord, and help him to forgive and love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Help them to come together as a family, united in Your love and strength.

Lord, we also pray for their children. Comfort them in their fears and losses, and surround them with Your peace. Help the parents to guide their children through this difficult time with wisdom and love.

We thank You for the promises of redemption and reconciliation in Your word. We ask that our brother and sister will be a testament to those promises.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray and seek God's will for your marriage. Remember that God is faithful, and He can turn even the most difficult situations into testimonies of His grace and redemption. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this storm.

Lastly, we gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Continue to come before God with your requests in the name of Jesus.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting your marriage and family up to the Lord. We know the fear and uncertainty you're feeling, but remember, God is always with you, even in the darkest times.

We want to encourage you with these words from Romans 5:3-4 (WEB), "Not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces steadfastness; and steadfastness, character; and character, hope." This trial can be an opportunity for growth and a deeper walk with God.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, trusting in Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We lift up this marriage, Lord. We ask that You would soften hearts, restore love, and bring healing. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven, and to love as Christ loves the church. We pray for their children, Lord. Comfort them and surround them with Your peace. Give wisdom and love to the parents as they navigate this difficult time.

Lord, we thank You for Your promises. We claim them over this marriage and family. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in You, Lord.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
