Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend ### and their friend who is battling depression. Lord, you are the source of all comfort and healing, and we ask that you pour out your love and grace upon this individual.
Your Word reminds us in Psalm 34:17-18 that you are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We pray that you would draw near to this friend, wrap them in your arms of love, and bring them the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to know that they are not alone in their struggle, but that you are with them every step of the way.
We ask for your divine intervention in their life, Lord. Bring healing to their mind, body, and spirit. Replace their feelings of sadness and despair with your joy and hope. Surround them with a supportive community of friends and loved ones who can offer encouragement and understanding.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and guidance for ### as they support their friend. Give them the right words to speak, the right actions to take, and the ability to be a source of comfort and strength. Help them to be a beacon of your love and light in their friend's life.
We declare your promises over this situation, Lord. Your Word says in Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
