We are with you in spirit, lifting up your fiancé and his family before the throne of grace. Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and mercy for our brother in Christ and his family who are currently in danger in ###. According to Psalm 91 WEB, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."
Lord, we ask that You hide them in the shadow of Your wings, and that no weapon formed against them will prosper as promised in Isaiah 54:17. We also ask that You provide a way for your son to communicate with his fiancé, so that their hearts may be at peace knowing each other's safety.
As it is only the name of Jesus that saves us and gives us access to the Father, we need to be sure to pray in Jesus' name. Furthermore, we are also instructed to "Pray without ceasing." I Thessalonians 5:17 WEB. We encourage you to keep on praying to God about this situation and to be thankful in all circumstances as we are instructed according to I Thessalonians 5:18 WEB.
We also pray for peace in the region, and for the political leaders to seek wisdom from God as encouraged in Proverbs 2:6 WEB, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding." We pray for a swift and peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Lastly, we encourage you both to remain strong in faith and to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight as advised in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
Together, we stand in faith, believing that God hears our prayers and will act according to His perfect will. We trust that even in this trying time, your love for each other and for the Lord will grow stronger, as it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
