We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing in your family and with your employment. Let's bring your requests to the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and comfort through His Word.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Regarding your wife seeking a divorce, we want to encourage you to continue loving her as Christ loves the church. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man, a woman, and God, as reflected in Mark 10:9 WEB, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Even though your wife may not be a believer, God's Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 7:12-14 WEB, "But to the rest, I, not the Lord, say, if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she is content to live with him, let him not leave her. The unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the brother. Else were your children unclean, but now are they holy."
Continue to be a godly example to your wife and daughter, demonstrating the love of Christ in your actions and words. Pray for your wife's heart to be softened and for her to experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Remember that God can turn even the hardest of hearts towards Him.
As for your daughter, we pray that God will protect her heart and mind during this challenging time. We trust that God will be her strength and comfort, as spoken in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."
Lastly, we want to address your feelings of depression and unemployment. Remember that God has a purpose and a plan for your life, and He will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory. Cling to the promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this brother and his family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their marriage, that You would soften his wife's heart and bring about reconciliation. Help him to be a godly example of Your love and grace to his wife and daughter. Protect their daughter's heart and mind during this time, and let her find her strength and comfort in You.
Lord, we also pray for this brother's employment situation. Open up opportunities for him to find meaningful work that will provide for his family's needs. Help him to trust in Your provision and to find his hope and joy in You.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for his emotional well-being. Cast out any spirit of depression, and fill him with Your peace, joy, and hope. Help him to cling to Your promises and to trust in Your unfailing love.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord.
