We stand with you in this battle, lifting you and your family before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and faith. The weight of illness and treatment is heavy, and the exhaustion you feel—both physically and emotionally—is real. But we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who sustains life and breath, and He hears your cries. You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare His strength over your weakness, His peace over your anxiety, and His healing over your body.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask You to strengthen our brother in this trial. Sustain him through this chemotherapy, Lord. Give him the will to eat and take his medicine, not by his own strength, but by Yours. You promise in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* We claim this promise over him now. Let him feel Your presence in the midst of this storm.
We lift up his family—Jilli, Emma, and Cindy—before You. Lord, comfort them as they walk this difficult path alongside him. Let them feel Your love surrounding them, and give them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we ask that You would soften Cindy’s heart to receive his love, and let her see the depth of his devotion to her. May their bond be a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace.
We also rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to take hold in this situation. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this is not the end of your story. You are a warrior, and the Lord is fighting for you. We pray for your cardiologist appointment tomorrow, that God would guide the hands of the medical team and give them wisdom. Let there be no fear, only trust in the One who holds your life in His hands.
Lord, we ask for healing—whether it be through miraculous intervention or through the treatment You are using to restore him. You are the God who raises the dead and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). We believe in Your power to heal, and we ask for a testimony of Your goodness to rise from this trial. Give him hope for the future, and let him cling to the truth that You have plans for him—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). May His peace, which transcends all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). You are loved, you are seen, and you are held by the One who will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Stand firm in faith, for the Lord is your strength and your shield. Amen.
