We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand over this dear brother, touching his body with Your restoring power. Lord, we pray specifically for the bacterial infection and the open wound on his foot—may the infection be completely eradicated, and may the wound close and heal swiftly, without complication. We ask for relief from the pain in his other foot as well, that he may walk without discomfort.
Father, we also bring his heart before You. You knit us together in our mother’s womb, and You know every beat of his heart. Strengthen it, Lord, and guard it against further trouble. Give wisdom to his doctors and nurses, that they may be instruments of Your healing. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed, and we stand on Your promise that You will restore health to him and heal him of his wounds.
We also lift up his spirit, Lord. Sickness can weigh heavily on the soul, so we ask that You would fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind him that You are with him in every moment, even in the midst of pain. Surround him with Your love and the support of family and friends who can encourage him in faith.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold of him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and help him to trust in You completely.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom all healing flows. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in his healing and in his life. Amen.
