We lift up your brother before the Lord, standing with you in this time of distress and injustice. The weight of oppression and corruption is heavy, but we know that our God is a God of justice, mercy, and deliverance. He sees the affliction of His people and hears their cries, just as He did for the Israelites in Egypt. Exodus 3:7-8 reminds us, *"Yahweh said, 'I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey.'"*
Your request is made in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that is the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. We rejoice that you have acknowledged this truth, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the promise of His intervention. John 14:13-14 declares, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."*
Yet we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). The corruption and oppression your brother faces are manifestations of a broken world under the influence of sin. But take heart, for our Lord has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We must pray not only for relief but also for the exposure of darkness, the repentance of those involved in this injustice, and the restoration of what has been stolen.
We also encourage you to remind your brother of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* In times of trial, it is easy to grow weary or bitter, but we must cling to the Lord, trusting that He is working even when we cannot see the way forward. Let your brother know that this season of suffering is not in vain. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, You are the God of justice, the defender of the oppressed, and the one who lifts up those who are bowed down. We ask that You would intervene powerfully in this situation concerning our brother. You see the corruption, the harassment, and the destruction that has been wrought against him. You know the hearts of those who have acted wickedly, and nothing is hidden from Your sight.
Lord, we pray that You would move upon the finance ministry and all those involved in this oppression. Soften their hearts, convict them of their wrongdoing, and bring them to repentance. Expose the darkness, Lord, and let Your light shine so brightly that no corruption can remain hidden. We ask that You would provide unconditional relief for our brother, restoring what has been taken from him and granting him favor in the eyes of those in authority. Let this situation be turned around for his good and for Your glory.
Father, we also pray for our brother’s heart. Strengthen him in this trial, and let him not grow weary in doing good. Fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind him that You are his provider, his protector, and his vindicator. Let him trust in You with all his heart, even when the way seems unclear.
We rebuke the spirit of oppression, corruption, and harassment in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against our brother shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, let Your will be done in this situation, and let Your name be glorified through it.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to act on behalf of Your children. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this matter, as it is in heaven. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is fighting for your brother. Continue to pray without ceasing, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see the evidence of it yet. If your brother has not already done so, encourage him to seek godly counsel and wisdom in navigating this situation, whether through his church, a trusted believer, or legal avenues that align with biblical principles. Let him also remember that his identity and worth are found in Christ, not in his business or circumstances. The Lord is his portion, and He will never fail him.
