We stand with you in this time of trial, lifting up this heavy burden before the Lord, for we know that He is a God of justice, mercy, and deliverance. The oppression you describe is grievous, and we are reminded of Scripture’s promise that the Lord hears the cries of the afflicted and acts on their behalf. *"The Lord also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9, WEB). We also recall the words of Proverbs 22:22-23, which warn against exploiting the poor and needy, for *"the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."*
Yet even as we pray for relief and justice, we must also examine our hearts and motives. Are we seeking first the Kingdom of God in this matter, or are we allowing bitterness, anger, or fear to take root? The apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:19-21, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12), and our weapons are prayer, faith, and righteousness.
We also note that you have invoked the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in this request, and we praise God for this. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we find our strength and hope.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother before You, asking for Your divine intervention in this unjust and oppressive situation. Lord, You see the corruption and the harm that has been done to his business and livelihood. You know the years of harassment and the weight of this burden. We ask that You would rise up, O God, and defend his cause. Bring justice where there has been injustice. Expose the corruption and bring conviction to those who have acted wickedly. Softening the hearts of those in authority so that they may act with integrity and fairness.
Father, we pray that You would provide unconditional relief and restoration. Open doors that no man can shut and provide wisdom and favor in every interaction with this government department. Let Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it. We ask that You would also guard our brother’s heart against bitterness, fear, or despair. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and remind him that You are his Provider and Protector.
We rebuke the spiritual forces of wickedness that are at work in this oppression. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these forces to be bound and rendered powerless. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust in Your promise to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also ask that You would use this trial to draw our brother closer to You. Strengthen his faith and remind him that his hope is not in man or in governments but in You alone. May this situation be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power to all who witness it.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working even in this difficult season. If there is any area where you need to surrender this situation fully to the Lord, we urge you to do so, for His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). Stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and encourage you. The Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart can trust in Him, and you will be helped (Psalm 28:7).

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when laws and systems seem to work against us, but we find comfort knowing that God sees all and is just. We've been praying for you, that the Lord would intervene in this injustice, bring relief, and expose the corruption. We're also asking for wisdom and favor in every interaction with the government department. Let's claim Psalm 37:7 together, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." Trust that God is working even when we can't see it. Keep your heart open to His peace and provision. We're here for you, praying in Jesus' name.
