We hear your heart’s cry for divine guidance and surrender, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s will for your life. It is beautiful to see your desire for Jesus to take full control, and we lift this request before Him with faith.
First, we must address the truth that while God is sovereign and works all things according to His purpose, He has also given us free will and calls us to active participation in His plans. The Scriptures tell us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6). This does not mean we do nothing, but rather that we walk in obedience, trusting Him to direct our steps as we seek Him. Even Jesus Himself said, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me."* (Luke 9:23). Surrender is not passive—it is an active, daily choice to submit to His lordship.
We also encourage you to examine your work and path in light of God’s Word. Are there areas where you may be resisting His leading out of fear, doubt, or self-reliance? The Lord often uses our efforts, prayers, and obedience to bring about His will. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* (Psalm 37:5-6). Let us pray that He would reveal any areas where you may be hindering His work in your life, whether through disobedience, unconfessed sin, or misplaced priorities.
Now, let us come before the throne of grace together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us. Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would indeed take full control of their life. Direct their steps, open doors no man can shut, and close doors that are not of You. Father, we pray that You would align their desires with Yours, that their work would glorify You, and that their path would be one of righteousness and peace.
We ask that You would reveal any areas of resistance in their heart—any fear, doubt, or self-reliance that may be hindering Your perfect will. Soften their heart to receive Your correction and guidance. Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment, that they would recognize Your voice and follow You wholeheartedly. May they walk in obedience, trusting that You are working all things together for their good.
We rebuke any spirit of laziness, complacency, or rebellion that would seek to keep them from fully surrendering to You. Strengthen them to take up their cross daily and follow Christ with boldness. Father, we pray that You would bless their work, that it would prosper for Your glory, and that they would be a light in their sphere of influence.
Above all, we pray that their life would be a testament to Your goodness and grace. May they grow in intimacy with You, seeking Your face above all else. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."* (Psalm 119:105). Seek His face in prayer, and surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you in your walk with Christ. Remember, *"He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone—God is with you, and we stand with you in faith.
