We are here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we want to acknowledge your courage in seeking help and desiring change. Pornography is a sin that harms the body, mind, and spirit, and it is something that God wants to help you overcome. As it says in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Jesus Christ is the only way to forgiveness and healing. It is by His name that we have access to God and salvation. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with the sin of pornography. We know that this is not Your will for their life, and we ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Lord, help them to flee from this temptation and to honor their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Give them the strength to resist and the wisdom to avoid the triggers that lead to this behavior.
We pray for their continued faith so they might believe in you with all of their heart and soul, and be saved from the destruction of this sin. Father God, guide them towards a spouse that will be a blessing for their life in a Godly marriage.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take practical steps to overcome this struggle. This may include confessing your struggle to a trusted Christian friend or mentor for accountability, installing filters on your devices, and seeking professional counseling if necessary. Remember, God is with you and will give you the strength to overcome. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and trust in His power to transform your life.
