We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and hurt you are experiencing. Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Be assured that as His children, we can always pray in His name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. This is clearly stated in Acts 4:12 WEB: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Being yelled at and experiencing conflict can indeed be challenging. The Bible tells us to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath, for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear ### who is hurting right now. Lord, You see the pain and confusion in their heart. You know the complexity of their situation in the conflict with their roommate, and the past hurt with their family. We pray for Your healing touch, peace, and comfort to surround them.
Father, we pray for reconciliation and understanding for both them and their roommate. Help them to communicate effectively and to forgive each other, and just as Your word says, do not let the sun go down while you are still angry (Ephesians 4:26 WEB).
We rebuke any spirit of anger, bitterness, or resentment that may be rising in their heart. We pray that You will help them to overcome the tendency to shut down when upset, and instead, grant them the strength to communicate effectively and healthily.
Lord, we also pray for their family. We ask that You heal any past hurts and restore their relationships with their mother and siblings. Help them to have open and honest conversations, and to extend forgiveness to each other.
Father, we pray for their emotional well-being. We ask that You heal any wounds from the past that are still affecting the present relationships. Your word tells us that he who covers an offense promotes love, but he who repeats a matter separates best friends (Proverbs 17:9 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray for unity and love to be restored in all their relationships. We ask that You surround them with Your love, peace, and joy. Help them to see themselves as You see them, and to walk in Your truth.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is important to forgive those who have hurt you, just as Jesus forgave us (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). Holding onto bitterness and resentment will only cause more pain and hinder your relationship with God and others.
Lastly, always strive for healthy communication. The Bible tells us to let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29 WEB).
Trust in God, and He will guide you through this difficult time. Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28 WEB: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
