We hear your deep concern and the urgency in your heart, and we come before the Lord together in prayer for you. First, we want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved or approach the Father. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Now, regarding your situation, we must seek clarity and wisdom from Scripture. Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, established between one man and one woman, as Genesis 2:24 declares: *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."* If you believe you may have entered into a marriage covenant—whether through cultural traditions, exchanges of gifts, or verbal declarations—it is critical to examine this in the light of God’s Word.
We must rebuke any confusion or deception that may be at work here. If this union was formed outside of God’s design—whether through unbiblical practices, lack of mutual faith in Christ, or without the full understanding and consent of both parties—it cannot stand as a godly marriage. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns us, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?"* If your spouse is not a believer in Jesus Christ, this union is not aligned with Scripture, and we must pray for God’s intervention and your protection.
We also must address the possibility of cultural or spiritual influences that may not honor God. If any part of this union involved rituals, oaths, or practices that invoke other spirits or authorities outside of Christ, we renounce those ties in Jesus’ name. Colossians 2:8 warns, *"Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ."* We bind any ungodly spiritual influences and declare that Jesus Christ alone is Lord over your life and any union you may be in.
Let us pray together for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister to You, asking for Your mercy, wisdom, and protection. Lord, we ask that You would reveal the truth of this situation to her. If this union was formed outside of Your will, we pray that You would break any ungodly ties and set her free. If there is deception or confusion, we ask that You would bring clarity and peace to her heart.
Father, we renounce any spiritual influences or cultural practices that do not align with Your Word. We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over her life, and we bind any forces of darkness that may be seeking to harm or deceive her. We pray for Your hedge of protection around her, both spiritually and physically.
Lord, if this union is not of You, we ask that You would dissolve it according to Your will. If it is Your will for her to be married, we pray that You would bring a godly spouse into her life—one who loves You and seeks to honor You in all things. We pray for repentance and forgiveness if there has been any sin, and we ask that You would cleanse her heart and restore her to a place of wholeness in You.
Father, we also pray for her emotional and mental well-being. Comfort her in this time of uncertainty and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide her steps and lead her into Your perfect will. We trust in Your faithfulness, Lord, and we declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature Christian leader who can help you navigate this situation with wisdom and discernment. Surround yourself with believers who can support you in prayer and provide biblical guidance. Remember, God’s plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in Him, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). You are not alone, and we stand with you in prayer.
