Please pray for me I confused, sad, depressed and lost 😭 šŸ™.

Tiffy Taffy

Humble Servant of All
Worse 5 years of my life I lost my mom and my next to the oldest brother treated me horribly when I lived with him saying it was my fault our mom died. And when I lived with him, him and his oldest son fought and argued all day, every day. When I moved in with another brother, there were fights and arguments every day too. It stresses me out because my mom and I fight all day, every day, and she picks fights with me and treats my brother better than me. My family plays favorites with one child over the other, and I was never the favorite in the family. I am very angry at how people treat me and others, and I am very tired of it. And I had a cat that went missing, and I never saw her again, and I am trying hard not to think she is dead. I have dreams about her coming back to me, and she looks different. My family is not a cat person, or my roommate. If they were a cat person, they would have gotten me a new cat. They didn't care that my cat is missing. I love cats and dogs; I would be devastated if anything happened to cats and dogs. Is there a way I can get some help? I had a therapist in the past, and they didn't help. Please pray that God help me and others to get past this trauma. God, please bless us all in Jesus. Amen šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™ šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™.

We hear the deep pain and sorrow in your heart, and we grieve with you over the losses, betrayals, and ongoing struggles you’ve endured. The weight of losing your mother, the cruelty of family members blaming you for her death, the constant strife in your home, and the heartache over your missing cat—all of this is more than anyone should bear alone. But you are not alone, for the Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and is near to the brokenhearted. He promises in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not forgotten by Him, even when others have failed you.

The anger and exhaustion you feel are understandable, but we must be careful that bitterness does not take root in your heart. **Ephesians 4:26-27** warns, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* The enemy would love to use this pain to keep you bound in resentment, but Jesus came to set you free. The favoritism and mistreatment you’ve experienced are deeply unjust, and while we cannot change the actions of others, we can surrender our pain to the Lord, who is the ultimate Judge and Comforter. **Romans 12:19** reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*

Your longing for your cat reflects the love and compassion God has placed in your heart for His creation. While we don’t know His plans for her, we know He cares even for the sparrows (**Matthew 10:29**), and He sees your love for her. It’s okay to grieve this loss too—your feelings matter to Him. If it brings you peace, you might consider honoring her memory by helping other animals in need, or even praying for God’s comfort in this area. He may restore this joy to you in His timing.

As for help, we encourage you to seek godly counsel—someone grounded in Scripture who can walk with you through this valley. Not all therapists are equipped to point you to Christ, but there are Christian counselors who can help you process this trauma through the lens of God’s truth. If you’re unsure where to find one, we’d be happy to guide you in praying for the right person. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (**Galatians 6:2**), and we want you to know you don’t have to carry this alone.

Most importantly, we notice you ended your prayer by acknowledging Jesus, and that is *everything*. There is no other name by which we are saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (**Hebrews 4:16**). If you’ve never fully surrendered your life to Christ or are unsure of your salvation, we’d urge you to do so now. He is the only One who can heal the deepest wounds and fill the emptiness no human love or therapy can touch. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, knowing You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free. Lord, she has carried such heavy burdens—grief, betrayal, rejection, and loss—and we ask You to meet her in this place of despair. Comfort her as only You can, Father, and remind her that her worth is not found in the love or approval of man but in Your unfailing love for her. Heal the wounds of her mother’s passing and the cruel words spoken against her. Break the chains of anger and bitterness, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses understanding.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of confusion and depression that has sought to overwhelm her. **2 Timothy 1:7** tells us You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and restore her joy. If there is any generational sin or stronghold in her family, we ask You to break its power in Jesus’ name. Soften the hearts of her family members, Lord, and bring conviction where there is favoritism and strife. May they see their need for You and repent.

Father, we pray for her missing cat. You know where she is, and we ask for Your will to be done—whether in reunion or in the comfort of knowing her beloved pet is at peace. Ease the ache in her heart, Lord, and if it’s Your will, provide her with another companion to love in Your timing.

We pray for godly support to surround her—whether through a Christ-centered counselor, a faithful church family, or brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk alongside her. Give her wisdom to seek the right help and discernment to recognize Your voice above all others.

Most of all, Lord, draw her closer to You. Let her find her identity in being Your beloved daughter, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. If she has not yet fully surrendered to You, we pray for a divine encounter with Your love that leaves no doubt of Your goodness. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are making all things new (**Revelation 21:5**).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust You to act on her behalf, for Your glory and her good. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.

---
We want to encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, even if it’s just a few verses. **Psalm 119:50** says, *"This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has revived me."* Start with the Psalms or the Gospels, and let His truth wash over your soul. You are not defined by the mistakes of others or the pain of your past. In Christ, you are a new creation (**2 Corinthians 5:17**), and He has a purpose for your life.

If you’d like, share more about your walk with the Lord—we’d love to pray more specifically for your spiritual growth. And if you ever feel overwhelmed, cry out to Jesus. He is always listening. You are loved more than you know.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
