Please pray for Jesus to defend me

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please ask Jesus to defend me. I have posted on here before and my prayer didn't get accepted even though I tried to increase my faith. I prayed to be a good person for ###-### years but I became an even worse person. I thought things were supposed to get better but they don't. I feel like Jesus does not love me or that someone could love me even better than Jesus.

We hear the deep pain and desperation in your words, and we want you to know that Jesus *does* love you—more than you could ever comprehend. His love is not based on your performance, your past, or even your faith’s strength in this moment. It is rooted in His unchanging nature, His sacrifice on the cross, and His promise to never leave nor forsake you. You are not forgotten, and your prayers are not ignored. The fact that you are still crying out to Him is evidence that He is drawing you closer, even when it feels like silence.

The enemy wants you to believe that Jesus has abandoned you, that your years of praying have been in vain, or that another love could ever surpass His. But these are lies. Scripture declares, *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands"* (Isaiah 49:15-16, WEB). You are *engraved* on His hands—the same hands that bore the nails for your sins. His love is not passive; it is active, pursuing, and relentless.

You mentioned that you tried to "increase your faith," but faith is not something we muster up on our own. It is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8-9), and even the smallest amount—like a mustard seed—can move mountains when placed in Him (Matthew 17:20). If you feel your faith is weak, cry out to Him for more! He delights in giving good gifts to His children (Luke 11:13). Your struggle does not disqualify you; it qualifies you for His grace.

We must also address something critical: you said you feel like "someone could love me even better than Jesus." This is a dangerous deception. No human love—no matter how deep—can compare to the love of Christ. Human love is flawed, temporary, and conditional. But Jesus’ love is perfect, eternal, and unconditional. *"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 8:35-39, WEB). There is no love greater than His. To seek fulfillment in anything or anyone else will only leave you emptier.

If you have been praying for years and feel like you’ve become "worse," we urge you to examine your heart: Have you fully surrendered to Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Salvation is not about becoming a "good person"—it’s about recognizing you *cannot* be good enough on your own and trusting in His finished work on the cross. *"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast"* (Ephesians 2:8-9, WEB). If you’ve never truly repented and placed your faith in Christ alone, we plead with you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and trust in Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

If you *have* trusted in Christ but still feel distant, ask Him to reveal any unconfessed sin or idols in your heart. Sometimes, we unknowingly place things—even good things—above Him, and that separation grieves the Holy Spirit. *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way"* (Psalm 139:23-24, WEB).

Lastly, we want to remind you that Jesus is your *Defender*. He is not passive in your suffering. *"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"* (Psalm 18:2, WEB). When you feel attacked, when the enemy whispers lies, when your heart is heavy—Jesus is fighting for you. You don’t have to fight alone.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see every tear, hear every cry, and collect every prayer in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have taken root in their heart—the lies that say You don’t love them, that their prayers are ignored, or that another love could ever satisfy like Yours. Father, break these chains in the mighty name of Jesus!

We ask You to defend them as only You can. Surround them with Your angels, encamp around them (Psalm 34:7), and let them *feel* Your presence in a tangible way. Lord, if there is any sin, any unbelief, any idol that has come between them and You, reveal it by Your Spirit and give them the strength to repent and turn fully to You.

Father, we pray for a fresh outpouring of Your love over them—a love so deep, so wide, so high that it shatters every doubt. Let them know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that they are Yours. Restore their faith, Lord. Remind them that faith is not about their strength but about Your faithfulness. You who began a good work in them will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Jesus, You are their Defender, their Shield, their Strong Tower. Rise up on their behalf and silence every voice that accuses them. Let them hear Your voice above all others, saying, *"I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness"* (Jeremiah 31:3).

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Every plan of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy their faith is canceled in Jesus’ name. Father, fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let them rest in the truth that You are for them, not against them.

We pray all this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, hold on. Keep crying out to Him. He *is* listening. He *is* working. And He *will* defend you. *"The Lord your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing"* (Zephaniah 3:17, WEB). You are not forgotten. You are deeply loved. And Jesus is fighting for you even now.

Dear friend, we're here with you, praying alongside you. We know it's tough, feeling like your prayers aren't heard and that Jesus doesn't love you like He should. But we want you to know, that's just not true. Jesus loves you so much, He died for you. He's right there with you, even in your pain.

You've been praying for a long time, and it's okay if you feel like you're not seeing the results you want. Faith isn't about seeing everything right away; it's about trusting that God is working, even when we can't see it. Remember, even in the darkest night, the sun is still shining, even if we can't see it.

We want to encourage you to keep praying, keep trusting. Jesus is your Defender, your Shield. He's fighting for you, even when you can't feel it. And remember, it's not about how much you love Him, but about how much He loves you. His love is perfect, unconditional, and it's enough.

Let's pray together, okay? "Dear Jesus, we come to You today, feeling the pain of our ###. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them, show them Your love, Your presence. Help them to trust in You, even when they can't see the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you before the Lord in prayer these past few days. Your heart’s cry has not gone unheard by us—or by our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear, every struggle, and every moment of longing for His love and defense. We have been standing with you, asking Jesus to surround you with His mighty protection, to break through the lies of the enemy that tell you He does not love you, and to flood your heart with the truth of His unfailing, unshakable affection for you. You are *so* deeply loved by Him—not because of what you do or don’t do, but because of who He is.

We know the weight of feeling like faith isn’t "enough" or that years of praying haven’t brought the change you’ve hoped for. But we want to gently remind you that God’s work in us is not measured by our perfection or immediate outcomes—it’s measured by His faithfulness, which never wavers, even when our circumstances do. You shared that you’ve felt like you’ve become "worse" over time, but we want to speak life over you: the fact that you’re still reaching out, still fighting to believe, still turning to Jesus in the midst of your pain is *evidence* of His grace at work in you. He is not done writing your story.

If you’ve sensed His defense or His love breaking through in any way—whether through a verse, a moment of peace, a word from a believer, or even the smallest shift in your heart—we’d be so encouraged if you’d share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very thing someone else needs to hold onto hope. And if the battle still feels heavy, if the lies still feel loud, or if the wait still feels long, we want you to post again. We are *here* with you, and we will keep interceding, keep declaring God’s truth over you, and keep asking Him to reveal His heart for you in ways you cannot deny.

You are not forgotten. You are not too far gone. And you are not fighting this alone. We are standing with you, believing that the God who pursued you first will meet you in this place of raw honesty and renew your strength. Keep seeking Him, even in the questions, even in the weariness. He is near.

We love you, and we’re praying for you still. In Jesus’ mighty and loving name.
