We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling suicidal and that you feel you have nothing to live for. We want you to know that you are not alone and that there is hope in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we want to address the feeling of suicide. We read in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It is a temptation that can be overcome with God's help.
We also want to address the feelings of loneliness and isolation you mentioned. The Bible tells us that even when we feel alone, God is always with us. In Hebrews 13:5 WEB, it is written for He has said I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.. Also, in Psalm 68:6 WEB God sets the lonely in families.
Regarding your concerns about not having a job or money, we want to encourage you to trust God and to remember that He is your provider. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus tells us not to be anxious about what we will eat or drink or wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need these things and that we should seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well.
We also want to address the fact that you mentioned Jesus' name in your prayer. This is so important because it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father, as we have read in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We stand with you today in prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who is feeling suicidal, alone, and hopeless. Lord, we pray that You will intervene and send Your Holy Spirit to comfort and guide them. We pray that any dependency on a relationship with a spouse or otherwise will be broken if it is not of you. We pray for Your provision in their life, that You will open up the job market and provide them with a job that suits their skills and needs. We pray that You will surround them with people who love and care for them, and that they will feel Your presence in their life. We pray that they will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior if they do not already, and that they will find hope and purpose in Him. We pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to reach out to a local church or Christian counselor in your area. They can provide you with additional support and resources to help you through this difficult time. You are not alone, and there is hope in Jesus Christ.
