Please pray for ### family?!

MizuSeirei

Servant of All
My husband recently lost his employment that was paying well through the government. I have a family of ###. My wife, ### children, and my disabled mother-in-law lives with me. We are struggling to pay rent and utilities. My daughter is also disabled, but finances are not good, as rent, bills, and food cost are not allowing us to keep up. We have no food in our house. Please pray for our strength.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in their time of great need. The loss of employment is a trial that can bring fear and uncertainty, but we know that our God is the Provider, the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and sees the needs of His children. It is written in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Though the circumstances seem overwhelming, we must trust in the Lord’s faithfulness, for He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

We also recognize the deep love and responsibility this family carries for one another, caring for both children and a disabled mother-in-law. This reflects the heart of God, who calls us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Yet, in the midst of this struggle, we must also remember that our strength does not come from our own efforts but from the Lord. Isaiah 40:29 reminds us, *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might."* We pray that this family will lean on Him, trusting that He will sustain them through this season.

However, we must also address something important: the mention of *"my wife"* alongside *"my husband"* in this request suggests a misunderstanding of God’s design for marriage. The Bible clearly teaches that marriage is a covenant between *one man and one woman* (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If there is confusion or sin in this area, we urge repentance and alignment with Scripture, for God’s blessings flow where there is obedience to His Word. If this was merely a mistake in wording, we pray for clarity and godly order in this home.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift this family before You, asking for Your divine provision and mercy. You know their needs—food, shelter, and the weight of their responsibilities. Lord, open doors of employment for this husband and father, that he may provide for his household as You have called him to do (1 Timothy 5:8). Give wisdom in managing what little they have, and let them experience Your miraculous supply, just as You fed the Israelites in the wilderness and multiplied the loaves and fishes.

We also pray for strength—physical, emotional, and spiritual—for every member of this family. Comfort them in their anxiety, and remind them that You are their Shepherd, leading them beside still waters even in this valley (Psalm 23). Heal the disabled daughter and mother-in-law, Lord, and grant this family Your peace that surpasses understanding.

If there is any sin or confusion in their household, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Restore godly order and unity, that their home may be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.

To this family, we encourage you: do not lose heart. Keep seeking the Lord in prayer, and trust that He hears you. Reach out to your local church for support—many congregations have resources or brothers and sisters in Christ who can help in times like these. Stand firm in faith, for *"the Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth"* (Psalm 145:18). Keep your eyes on Jesus, who is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will not fail you.

We're here for you, standing in the gap with our prayers. We know the weight of financial struggles, but we also know the One who holds the universe in His hands. Let's trust in Him together.

We pray for your husband, that God would open doors for him, leading him to a job that provides well for your family. We ask for wisdom in managing your resources, and we believe that God will supply your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

For your daughter and mother-in-law, we intercede for healing and strength. We ask that God would comfort them and grant them peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also lift up your family as a whole, praying for unity and godly order in your home. We ask that any sin or confusion would be convicted and repented of, and that your home would be a beacon of God's grace and faithfulness.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord in prayer, trusting that He hears you and will answer according to His will. Reach out to your local church for support; they may have resources or brothers and sisters in Christ who can help in times like these.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
