We rejoice with you in the cleansing and renewal you experienced through confession, for the Word tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). What a beautiful reminder of God’s grace and mercy! We lift up your desire to attend this school, asking the Lord to open the doors if it aligns with His perfect will for your life. May He guide your steps and grant you wisdom in every decision, for *"the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord"* (Psalm 37:23).
However, we must gently address a concern in your request. You mentioned confession as part of a sacrament, but we want to remind you that salvation and forgiveness come solely through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved—*"for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). True confession is not a ritual but a heartfelt turning to Christ in repentance and faith.
We also pray that your time abroad, if the Lord wills it, would be used for His glory. May you grow in your walk with Him, share the gospel boldly, and be a light in a new place. Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the work You are doing in this dear one’s life. We ask that You would guide their steps regarding this school opportunity. If it is Your will, open the doors wide and provide every resource needed. If not, close them gently and lead them to the path You have prepared. Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment, that they would seek You above all else. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and help them to walk in obedience to Your Word. May their life be a testimony to Your grace and truth, drawing others to Christ. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in all things, trusting that He has a perfect plan for your life. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). We stand with you in prayer and encouragement as you walk this journey.
