Please pray for Beau

Dear friends,

My name is Elizabeth. I am the proud mother of a beautiful 4-month-old boy named Beau Jonathon. Beau means beautiful and Jonathon means gift of God. Beau is our beautiful gift of God. He was born on the 8th of June this year. On the morning of his birth there was a word given at church “God has breathed his breath of new life into the kingdom today.” Because of this word we can have faith to pray for Beau.

I am writing to you, and as many Churches as I can to ask that you pray for Beau, my husband Thomas and myself. Beau has recently been diagnosed with SMA type 1. (Spinal muscular atrophy)

SMA has no cure. It is rare, but it is also the number one genetic infantile killer. SMA is a genetically transmitted condition whereby the nerves of the spinal cord (anterior horn cells) deteriorate, weaken and eventually die. Muscle weakness becomes worse over time until the muscles no longer respond. Key life functions such as swallowing and feeding can be affected. Because of the involvement of respiratory muscles used for breathing and coughing, those with SMA are at significant risk of contracting pneumonia or experiencing other lung problems. Children with SMA who contract pneumonia face a great battle for life, many of which do not recover. Intelligence is unaffected, and many SMA children are extremely bright and alert. There are 4 main classifications of SMA. Type 1 is the most severe and always results in early infant death. 50% of type 1 babies don’t make it to 6 months old, and only about 10% make it to 2 years of age.

Even though you may not know us, we appreciate every prayer said for Beau. We are begging God for a miracle! We know that He can heal Beau if that is His will. It provides us with much comfort to know people all around the world are praying for our beautiful little man.

Dear Lord, what an endearing prayer. God, I would ask you to find favor with Beau Jonathon, yes he's a little baby boy and he needs you Lord, he needs your healing touch. God, could you find it in your heart to heal this little baby boy? Could I ask you to heal him, would you do this for a sinner such as I? I beg of you Jesus, I beg of you.....please find favor with this little babe, strengthen him, I pray the doctors are wrong.....I pray you heal him Jesus, you are the Great Physician Lord, you supercede all wisdom on earth and you know better than anyone what must be done for the glory and honor of your father. Jesus, please answer my prayers, thank you Most High, Great Father, Great Provider, thank you Jesus, Amen.

Blessed Savior: Little Beau Jonathon was a terrible problem. I know it is not your will for this baby to suffer. Please intervene and save this baby. Please enable Beau Jonathon to know how profoundly he is loved by his parents, his church, his community and by you. Let every day of his life be days of light and joy. Wrap Elizabeth and her husband in your arms of love. Give them your strength and wisdom. Enable them to have a profound assurance of your presence and work in their lives. Send them a support system that will lift them up and enable them to be the parents you have called them to be. In Jesus name, Amen.

My Tower of Strength and Refuge,

Thank You for a faithful mother that is praying for her child. Thank You for placing the faith in her heart to come to You and seek You.

Lord God, NOTHING is impossible for You. What they say is incurable, You can cure. Father, I stand in agreement with this prayer for a healing miracle and I ask for peace, patience, steadfastness for this family. I pray this in Jesus name, knowing if we believe it shall be done. Amen.

Father, I know who You are. You are a God of faithfulness, wonder and miracles. You called the world into being, created everything in it, on it, within it and above it. You created each of us, unique and different from anyone else. That is why I am asking You to help us cast aside what the world says, and believe in what You can do. The world may say SMA will take this child's life, but if I understand Your word correctly, only You have the authority to grant life or take it away. I pray for Your healing mercy and compassion upon little Beau. May the faith which his parents profess bring You to his side with healing balm and annointing. May the prayers that we believers offer stir a spirit within You that we understand how this miracle must come about. It is not ours to perform, it is ours to petition. Grant this family increased faith, courage, strength and comfort as we call upon Your name. Thank you for the life of Beau - may he continue to be a child of God and grow to be a living testimony to Your love. Amen.
