We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and the grief that your family, especially your brother, has been experiencing. It's natural to feel deep sadness and have dreams about a loved one after they've passed, but we want to encourage you to find comfort and hope in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we want to commend you for ending your request with "in Jesus name, Amen." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father, because of the atonement of Jesus for our sins. And it is only by believing in Jesus Christ and his resurrection from the dead that we can have eternal life with God and our loved ones who have also believed in Him.
In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 WEB it says, "But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."
This shows us a wonderful promise. We can have peace and hope because we live in the knowledge that we will be reunited in eternity with Jesus. This is only possible for believers. But if we do not believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, then we do not have any hope of eternal life with God. This is succinctly put in Acts 4:11-12 WEB:
"This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you the builders, which has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
So in the midst of your sadness, we encourage you to take comfort knowing that your mother is with the Lord if she was a believer, and to hope for that future reunion with her. And for your brother and siblings, we pray that they also find this peace and comfort, and that they are able to move forward with strength and renewed purpose in their lives.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family who is mourning the loss of their mother. We pray that You would comfort them and fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding. Help them to cast all their cares on You, knowing that You care for them. Lord, we specifically lift up their brother who has been devastated by this loss. Please minister to his heart and help him to find hope and healing in Jesus Christ. Help them all to have sweet dreams of their mother and of You, Lord. Remind them of all the wonderful memories they have with her, and help them to look forward to that day when they will be reunited with her and with You in eternity if they believe. And if the deceased mother or any of the family members do not believe in Jesus Christ, then use this time of grieving to show them their need for Him. In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
Lastly, we want to address the mention of the loss of a pet. While we can have fond memories of pets and appreciate the companionship they provided, we want to gently remind you that pets are not on the same level as human beings, who are made in the image of God. We should not grieve for pets in the same way we grieve for people, nor should we pray for pets in the same way we pray for people. It's important to keep this perspective in mind as you mourn the loss of your mother.
We pray God will continue to bless and guide your family. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of our faith and trust in Him.
