Humble Servant of All
I started my job about almost 2 weeks ago and my job coach is complaining about how I do my job. She is complaining about how I sweep the floor, clean the bathroom and complaining about me being slow. I was happy now I am not and I am afraid of getting fired. If I get fired I am afraid that my family will be mad at me I don't want to let them down it's like they have high expectations of me. Please pray that I don't lose my job. God please help all of us we need you and please be with us all in Jesus name Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

We hear the heaviness in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The weight of disappointment, fear of failure, and the pressure of expectations can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Let us turn to His Word for comfort and direction, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind.

The apostle Peter reminds us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Your worth is not defined by your job performance or the approval of others—it is rooted in Christ, who has redeemed you and called you by name. The fear of man is a snare, but those who trust in the Lord are kept safe (Proverbs 29:25, WEB). Your family’s expectations, though well-intentioned, cannot be the measure of your value. Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB) tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Your work is ultimately for Him, and He sees your efforts, even when others do not.

We also recognize that the enemy seeks to steal your joy and peace through discouragement and lies. Do not let the criticism of your job coach define your identity or your future. If there are areas where you can improve, ask the Lord for wisdom and strength to grow—but do not carry the burden of perfectionism or fear. Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*

As for your family, remember that their love for you should not be conditional on your performance. If they are placing unrealistic expectations on you, pray for their hearts to be softened and for them to see you through God’s eyes. At the same time, honor them as best as you can, trusting that the Lord will guide your steps. Proverbs 16:3 (WEB) says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."*

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Guard their heart and mind from the lies of the enemy that tell them they are a failure or unworthy. Remind them that their identity is found in Christ alone, and that You have called them beloved.

We pray for wisdom and patience as they navigate this new job. Give them clarity to learn and grow in their tasks, and grant them favor with their job coach. Soften the heart of their coach, Lord, that she may offer constructive guidance rather than discouragement. Help our brother/sister to work as unto You, with excellence and integrity, knowing that You are their ultimate Provider.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of their heart—the fear of failure, the fear of man, and the fear of disappointment. Replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18, WEB). Let them rest in the truth that You hold their future, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

We also lift up their family, Lord. Soften their hearts toward our brother/sister, that they may offer grace and encouragement rather than pressure. Help our brother/sister to communicate with them in love and honesty, and may their relationships be rooted in Your truth.

Most of all, Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to Yourself through this trial. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, and may this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We declare that You are their Strength, their Shield, and their Exceeding Great Reward (Genesis 15:1, WEB).

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. Amen.

---
We want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB). If you feel overwhelmed, take time to read Psalm 34, which reminds us that *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). You are not alone in this—we are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will turn this situation for your good and His glory.

If the criticism continues, consider humbly asking your job coach for specific ways you can improve. Sometimes, people criticize without offering clear direction, and a simple, respectful question like, *"Could you show me how you’d like this done?"* can open the door for better communication. Trust that the Lord is with you in this, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB).

Lastly, we notice that you ended your prayer with *"in Jesus name"* and we rejoice in this! There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Keep calling on His name, for *"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13, WEB). If you ever doubt your standing with God, remember that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). Rest in Him, and let His truth be your anchor.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when the weight of expectations and the fear of failure press down on us. But remember, God is near to the brokenhearted, and He's got a plan for you. Let's trust that He sees your efforts and is working things out for your good.

We're praying for you to find peace in this storm. That you'd see yourself as God sees you - loved, valued, and called by name. We're also praying for your family, that they'd see you through God's eyes and offer you grace and encouragement.
