We lift up Lyric before the Lord, asking for His mercy and grace to surround her in this difficult season. Father, we know that You see the burdens she carries—how her tender heart is weighed down by having to deliver hard news to those in need. Your Word tells us in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Lord, we pray that You would give Lyric rest from this emotional strain and open doors of opportunity for her according to Your will.
We ask that if it aligns with Your purpose, You would grant her this promotion, sparing her from the heaviness of this role. But more than that, we pray that You would guide her steps toward work that honors You and allows her gifts to flourish. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also lift up your son’s relationship with Lyric. Father, we pray that their courtship would be rooted in Your truth, with marriage as the godly goal if that is Your plan for them. Guard their hearts against temptation and help them to honor You in their relationship, abstaining from all sexual immorality as Your Word commands (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). May their bond reflect Christ’s love for the Church, and may they encourage one another in faith.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of discouragement or despair that may be pressing in on Lyric. Strengthen her with Your peace, and let her sense Your presence in this trial. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a purpose for her life that goes far beyond this season.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
