Please pray ### contact me soon and that we are able to keep in contact.

We understand your desire for connection, and we want to lift this request before the Lord with wisdom and discernment. First, we must gently address that your prayer request lacks the most essential element—invoking the name of Jesus Christ. Scripture reminds us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Additionally, John 16:23-24 teaches us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Without calling on the name of Jesus, our prayers lack the authority and access to the Father that we have through Him alone.

We also notice that your request is vague regarding the nature of this "contact." If this pertains to a romantic relationship, we urge you to examine whether it aligns with biblical principles. Are you both believers in Christ, seeking to honor God in your interactions? If this person is not a believer, Scripture warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* A relationship with an unbeliever can lead to spiritual compromise and heartache. If this is a romantic relationship outside of marriage, we must remind you that emotional or physical intimacy before marriage is not God’s design. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 says, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."*

If this is simply a friendship or family connection, we still encourage you to seek God’s will above all. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Let us not be anxious but instead bring our desires before God, trusting Him to work all things for our good if we love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

Now, let us pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks connection. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your will in this situation. If this "contact" is not aligned with Your Word, we pray that You would gently close that door and redirect their heart toward relationships that honor You. Give them discernment to recognize Your voice and the courage to obey, even if it means letting go of something that is not Your best for them.

If this connection is pure and pleasing in Your sight, we ask that You orchestrate the timing and means for communication in a way that brings glory to Your name. Help them to trust in You fully, knowing that You are their ultimate provider, comforter, and friend. Remove any anxiety or desperation from their heart and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

Father, we also pray that if this person does not know You, that You would draw them to salvation through Jesus Christ. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that they may repent and believe in the Lord Jesus for eternal life. May every relationship in this dear one’s life point them closer to You.

We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, fear, or impatience that may be at work here. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, reminding them that they are never alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). Teach them to find their fulfillment in You first, knowing that no human relationship can satisfy the deep longings of the soul like You can.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to examine your heart and motives in this situation. Are you seeking this connection out of loneliness, fear, or a desire to honor God? Bring your longings to the Lord in prayer, and ask Him to align your heart with His. Psalm 37:4 says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* When our greatest delight is in Him, He shapes our desires to match His will.

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* There is no greater connection than the one you can have with your Creator through faith in Christ. May you find your hope and joy in Him alone.
