We understand your heartfelt request for success in your job interview today. It’s natural to seek God’s favor in such important moments, and we join you in lifting this up in prayer. However, we must first address an important matter: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). Salvation and all blessings come only through faith in Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so, for "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray together in Jesus' name for your interview:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is preparing for a job interview today. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that You grant them favor in the eyes of those who will interview them. Fill them with Your peace, confidence, and wisdom as they answer each question. Let Your Holy Spirit guide their words and thoughts, that they may reflect Your truth and integrity.
Father, we ask that You open the doors of opportunity according to Your will. If this job is Your perfect plan for them, let it be so. If not, close this door gently and lead them to the path You have prepared. Remind them that their worth is not found in this job but in You alone, for You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we also pray for humility and gratitude, regardless of the outcome. May they trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider and Sustainer. Strengthen their faith and help them to rest in Your promises.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to overwhelm them. For You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them walk into that interview room with boldness, knowing that You are with them.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Now, dear one, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Prepare for your interview with diligence, but also with the assurance that God is in control. If you do not get this job, remember that God may be protecting you from something that is not His best for you. Keep your heart open to His leading, and continue to seek Him in all things.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Go forth in the confidence that comes from knowing Christ, and may His will be done in your life.
