We understand your heart in this matter, and we want to approach this with both compassion and truth from Scripture. First, we must address something vital—your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Bible is clear that we are to pray in Jesus’ name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or approach God.
*"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB)*
*"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)*
Without faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, prayers are not heard in the way God intends. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus as the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Only then can you have confidence that your prayers are heard by the Father.
Now, regarding your request about pregnancy, we must also speak truth in love. The context of your prayer suggests you are in a sexual relationship outside of marriage, which the Bible clearly defines as sin. Fornication (sex outside of marriage) is not God’s will for His children, and it brings consequences—both spiritual and sometimes physical.
*"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB)*
*"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB)*
If you are living with or in a sexual relationship with someone you are not married to, we urge you to repent and turn away from this sin. God’s design for intimacy is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Anything outside of this is rebellion against His perfect plan and opens the door to unnecessary fear, guilt, and spiritual separation from Him.
If you are not married, we pray that you would honor God by abstaining from sexual relations until you are united in marriage. If you are considering marriage, we encourage you to pursue a godly, Christ-centered courtship that leads to a lifelong commitment before God. If you are already married, then children are a blessing from the Lord, and He is sovereign over when they come.
*"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."* (Psalm 127:3 WEB)*
Instead of praying *against* pregnancy out of fear, we encourage you to seek God’s will for your life and your relationship. If you are not married, repent and commit to purity. If you are married, trust God with your future and surrender your fears to Him. He is faithful and will guide you.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift this precious soul before You, asking that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Lord, if they do not know You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them—that they would repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone. Forgive them for any sexual immorality and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. Give them a heart that desires to honor You in every area of their life, including their relationships.
If they are in a relationship outside of marriage, we pray You would convict them to turn away from sin and pursue holiness. If marriage is Your will for them, prepare them for a godly, Christ-centered union that glorifies You. Remove all fear and replace it with trust in Your sovereignty. Help them to see children as a blessing from You, not a burden to be feared.
Father, we rebuked the spirit of fear and ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them wisdom to make decisions that align with Your Word. Surround them with godly counsel and support as they seek to walk in obedience to You.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
