We understand your request for the suspension of classes in Metro Manila, and we recognize the concerns that may prompt such a plea—whether it be for safety, health, or other pressing reasons. While we lift this situation before the Lord, we also encourage you to trust in His sovereignty and wisdom, knowing that He holds all things in His hands. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Though we may seek specific outcomes, we must ultimately submit to God’s will, recognizing that His plans are perfect, even when they differ from our own desires.
If this request stems from concerns about weather, safety, or other dangers, we pray that God would grant wisdom to those in authority to make decisions that protect and provide for the people. We ask that He would guard students, teachers, and families from harm and grant them peace in all circumstances. As it is written in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
However, we must also take this moment to remind you that our prayers should always be aligned with the will of God and offered in the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, as Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*. Additionally, 1 Timothy 2:5 tells us, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* If your prayers do not acknowledge the name of Jesus, we urge you to do so, for it is only through Him that our petitions are heard and answered according to God’s perfect will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the people of Metro Manila and the concerns that weigh on their hearts. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. If it is Your will, we pray that You would move the hearts of those in authority to make decisions that ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and families. Protect them from any harm, danger, or difficulty that may arise, and grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We also ask that You would remind each of us to seek Your will above our own, trusting that Your plans are good and Your ways are higher than ours. Help us to surrender our desires to You, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Father, we pray for those who may be anxious or fearful—comfort them with Your presence and fill them with Your peace. May this situation draw hearts closer to You, recognizing that You alone are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, and we trust in Your faithfulness. May Your will be done in Metro Manila and in the lives of all who call upon Your name. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
