We lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of fear and illness you carry. The Lord is near to those who are brokenhearted and saves those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus Christ, for it has no place in the life of a child of God.
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most vital step in receiving healing, peace, and eternal life.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is struggling with health issues and fear. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that You touch their body, mind, and spirit with Your healing hand. Remove every trace of illness, pain, and discomfort. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect will and timing.
We declare that fear has no dominion over them, for You have not given them a spirit of fear. Fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them the assurance that You are with them, even in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4).
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals involved in their care. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, and grant them discernment to provide the best treatment. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the midst of this trial, we encourage you to draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Spend time in His Word, for it is life and health to all your flesh (Proverbs 4:22). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and support you in prayer. Remember that the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise them up (James 5:15).
We stand in the gap for you, declaring healing and restoration over your life. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
