PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your cry for mercy and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, for you have rightly come in His name and His name only, and we rejoice that you know it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We understand your hurt that others have seemed to mock or belittle your prayer, even comparing your situation to Moses and the Red Sea in a way that felt like an attack to make themselves look good. We want to gently encourage you not to let the words or perceived motives of others keep you from boldly bringing your requests to God. Man looks at outward appearance and words, but the Lord looks at the heart, and He knows the unspoken burden you carry even when you do not share details with us. As it is written, your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly in Matthew 6:6 and before you call, He knows what you need in Matthew 6:8. We also take comfort that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in Romans 8:26 when we do not have words.

We do want to encourage you with love to release any bitterness toward those you felt insulted you, and to guard your heart from judging their motives, for we are told not to judge before the time until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts in 1 Corinthians 4:5. Even if their words stung, we are called to bless those who persecute us and to pray for those who mistreat us in Matthew 5:44 and Romans 12:14, trusting that God will be your defender and will deal justly.

We also hear your desire to believe your prayer has already been answered, and we affirm the truth of Mark 11:24 that whatever you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. We encourage that kind of faith while also resting in the will of God, for this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us in 1 John 5:14. Faith is not demanding our timing or our way, but trusting that our good Father hears and will answer according to His perfect wisdom and mercy, working all things together for good for those who love Him in Romans 8:28. Do not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:6-7.

We lift your unspoken request to the Lord now together.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that You know the depths of this heart and this unspoken need even better than we do. You collect our tears and You know every detail we cannot speak. We ask for Your mercy to be poured out abundantly. We pray that You would answer this prayer according to Your perfect will and for Your glory, and that You would give our dear one the assurance of Your presence, the strength to wait on You, and the peace that comes from trusting You. Heal any wound caused by harsh words or mocking, help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, and keep this heart from growing weary or silent out of fear of man. Teach us to pray without ceasing and to not be ashamed of the hope we have in You. Let faith arise and let Your will be done in this situation as it is in heaven. We ask all of this in the precious and only name of Jesus, our Savior and intercessor, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying, not only in secret but also with fellow believers who can stand with you, for we are not to forsake assembling together and bearing one another's burdens. Do not let the fear of being misunderstood silence your faith. Keep casting your cares on Him because He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7, and trust that the One who parted the Red Sea is still able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

We were moved by your honesty and how much you want to honor Jesus with this prayer. It hurts when something so personal is mocked or made to feel small, especially when you were simply bringing your heart to Him. It makes sense you would want to keep this between you and God for now.

We want you to know God does hear the unspoken prayer. You do not have to explain or defend it to others for it to be real to Him. Faith at its heart is quiet confidence in Christ Himself, even when emotions are stirred up or other voices are loud. Keeping your prayer unspoken for a season can be a gentle way to protect that quiet trust.

One thing that may help is to step back for a little while from the place where those hurtful comments came, and keep bringing this matter to Jesus privately as you already are. If it helps not to carry it alone, you might choose one trusted, kind believer to simply pray with you, without needing to share details.

Father, we lift our friend to You now. You know this unspoken request fully. Give peace in place of hurt, guard the heart from discouragement, and help in trusting Your goodness and presence each day. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry, PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY, is itself a truthful recognition of God, and it proves that God is a fact to you, for you do not call upon Him in trouble as the formalist does in fair weather, but you go to Him when the waves are high. It is well that you have learned to cry unto God Most High, for faith is always an active grace and its activity is first of all manifested in prayer, and if there is any true blessing it must come from the God of Heaven, it can come from nowhere else.

You speak of malicious elements and mockers who have insulted your prayer and made sport of it, as if faith were ridiculous. Do not wonder at this. The Christian man has taken counsel with his own conscience and finds that when he walks near to God he is most happy, and the worldling cannot understand it, so he mocks. Yet all the world knows that prayer is heard, and whoever may jest at faith, we continue in it still and glory in it and rejoice. Pray most for those who treat you worst, and make them the constant subjects of your prayer, and ask the Lord that it may be no heavy burden to you but that you may rather rejoice in it for His name's sake.

You say you must believe your prayer has already been answered, and that it must now be unspoken because God knows. There is a precious truth here and a danger also. It is precious that you believe God heareth prayer, for what multitudes of prayers have you and I put up, and the first prayer was for ourselves, that God would have mercy upon us and blot out our sin, and He heard that. The ears of true faith are very quick and keen, she hears the coming of the blessing and knows that God has heard her. Yet let your faith cling to the Cross and not to your own resolve. The business of faith is to trust in Christ when you do feel your sins and your weakness, to know that all is safe because He poured out His life, and to say from the heart, God has spoken in His holiness, I will rejoice. That is grand faith, to rejoice in God when friends fail and mockers scoff, because He has spoken by His Son and He has never yet been false to His promise and never will be.

Do not smite yourself by doubting after you have prayed, and do not demand that God must answer in the precise way you have pictured. Prayer sometimes tarries like a petitioner at the gate until the King comes forth to fill her bosom with the blessings which she seeks. The Lord when He has given great faith has been known to try it by long delays, He has suffered His servants voices to echo as from a brazen sky, and this is to empty us completely that He may fill us with His hidden treasure. He had been in prayer to deliver His servant, and the servant said I believe my God will deliver me, yet when he saw the heads of his pursuers he very nearly gave up all hope. So learn to wait. When you have once put the burden before the Lord, leave it with Him. Hide nothing, reserve nothing, tell it all and then trust about it all.

If this prayer of yours, which you now keep unspoken, is known fully to God, be content that He knows it perfectly. He is the God that heareth prayer, and without faith it is impossible to please Him, but he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Seek Him by calling upon the sacred name, for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. That is the foundation, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His blood, received from the Throne of God by trusting in Him. If you have that, you have all.

Therefore I would encourage you to pray thus, not as dictating to the Lord, but as trusting Him. Say, Lord, have mercy upon me through Jesus Christ Thy Son, forgive my sin, and do unto me as seemeth good in Thy sight, for Thou knowest what I cannot utter. If it be Thy will, grant this request, and if not, give me grace to will what Thou willest and to rejoice that Thou hast spoken in holiness. Sustain me when I cast my burden upon Thee, and bring me through the furnace with holy trust. And let Thy holy will be done in my life, conforming me to Christ, keeping me in the way of Thy commandments, for Thou art holy and Thy promises are sure.

May the Lord deliver you and honor Himself in the answer, in His own time and way, and may you be kept close to Him when He is robed in thunder as well as when He smiles, until faith gives place to sight.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your longing for mercy is right and good, and it is good that you bring it to Jesus alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other mediator by whom we come to the Father. He hears the prayer that is not spoken aloud, and He knows what you carry even when you do not set it forth in words.

It is also right to trust Him, yet trust does not mean demanding that He must answer exactly as we have pictured. Our Lord Himself, when He prayed at the tomb of Lazarus, said Father I thank you that you have heard me, and I know that you hear me always, not because He needed to compel the Father, but to show that His will and the Father's will are one, and to strengthen the faith of those who stood by. So we too pray with confidence that God hears, and we add with Christ, your will be done. Faith says Jesus is able and Jesus is merciful, and then rests in His wisdom to give what is best, in His time, according to what is holy and good. To believe your prayer is already heard is true, for He does hear. To believe it must be granted exactly as you desire may lead you into sorrow if your desire, even unknowingly, is not according to His word. Bring the unspoken burden to Him and ask Him to shape your heart to want what He wants, and to grant only what will lead you closer to Him.

You have felt wounded by those who mocked your prayer and made themselves look wise by belittling you. That sting is real, and it is right to step back from strife. Yet do not let that hurt turn into wrath held in the heart while you pray. Scripture warns us to lift holy hands without wrath and without quarreling, and that if we come to offer our gift and remember that our brother has something against us, or we against him, we are to be reconciled first. Prayer itself is a sacrifice, and God delights more in a clean heart than in many words. Ask the Lord to help you forgive those who insulted you, to bless them with the knowledge of Christ, and to keep you from seeking praise or vindication for yourself. Leave their judgment to God.

You do well to keep praying. Prayer is a great weapon and an unshaken wall. The day is full of battles and temptations, and we need prayer in the morning and in the night to go forth with God made favorable to us. You need both your own watchfulness and the prayers of the church. Even Paul, who was so strong in faith, asked for the prayers of the brethren and was commended to the grace of God by them, and Peter was upheld when the church prayed earnestly for him. Do not think you must carry this alone or that you do not need others to pray, and do not think another's prayer will help you if you yourself are not awake and seeking God. Remain humble, keep watch, and let others who love Christ pray with you even if you keep the details between you and God.

So I pray with you now to Jesus Christ alone. Lord Jesus, have mercy on this your servant. You know the unspoken request before it is formed on the lips. Grant what is according to your perfect will and your holy word, and withhold what would harm the soul. If this desire is in keeping with your design for holiness, for purity, for marriage as you ordained it, for life lived in obedience to you, then in your mercy provide it and give peace. If it is not, then in your mercy transform the desire, cleanse the heart, and teach contentment in you. Guard this one from bitterness toward those who mocked, and give grace to forgive and to pray without wrath. Keep this one watching and praying morning and night, and let your grace and your Spirit remain and strengthen faith. We ask this in the name of Jesus alone, trusting not in our worth but in your mercy. Amen.

Your heartfelt cry for mercy matters to God and He hears you even when you keep the details unspoken. Prayer is not telling God something He does not already know. Your Father knows what you need before you ask. You do not have to explain everything to people for God to understand. He knows the unspoken request completely and He invites you to come to Him through Jesus Christ alone.

Come to Him for mercy and grace. Justice is receiving what we deserve, mercy is not receiving what we deserve, and grace is receiving what we do not deserve. None of us can demand mercy as if it were owed to us. God has said He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and compassion on whom He will have compassion. It is not a matter of our will or effort but of His sovereign kindness. That is good news, because it means His mercy is still available when we call on Him through Jesus. It endures forever and it is deeper than our failures. Like others who found mercy even after acting in unbelief, we can come honestly and ask Him to be merciful to us in Christ.

It is painful when others mock or belittle your prayer. That kind of insult is often used to discourage those who are seeking God. The right response is not to return insult or to seek to prove yourself, but to bring the hurt to God in prayer and to continue to act responsibly before Him. Prayer was never meant to replace faithful action, and faithful action was never meant to replace prayer. Both belong together. And as you have been hurt by judgment without mercy, remember the principle that those who show mercy will obtain mercy, while judgment without mercy will be shown to those who have shown no mercy. Mercy rejoices over judgment. Ask God to help you show mercy even toward those who mocked you, and to guard your heart from fear, because fear and faith cannot rule together. Where fear takes over, faith is driven away.

You wrote that you must believe your prayer has already been answered. It is right to trust God fully, but true faith is more than saying the words that you believe. Scripture teaches we are saved by grace through faith, and that faith itself is a gift of God, not something we earn by works. At the same time, a genuine living faith will always show itself in a changed life and in obedience. Faith without that fruit is dead and cannot save. It is not enough to declare that we have faith. Faith has to be real, and real faith is seen in what we do. Abraham believed God and that belief was counted to him as righteousness, and his obedience in offering Isaac showed that his faith and his actions were working together. His faith was made complete by what he did.

Faith is also the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. Without faith it is impossible to please God. That kind of faith trusts God even when we do not yet see the answer. Many who are commended for faith died still trusting, not having received everything promised in this life, because their trust was in God Himself and in His perfect will. Prayer is not a way to force our will to be done on earth. True prayer seeks for God's will to be done. He makes His purpose known to our hearts and we agree with Him in prayer. So bring your unspoken request to Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, and ask above all that His will be done. An active faith will keep seeking Him, obeying Him, and resting in His wisdom about how and when to answer.

If any part of what you are asking involves a relationship or way of living that is outside of God's design, which is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and sexual faithfulness within that covenant, then the most merciful answer God can give is not to affirm that path but to lead you into His forgiveness and His better way through repentance and trust in Jesus. His mercy does not celebrate what He calls sin, it frees us from it.

May you keep bringing this burden to Jesus alone, for only He can save and answer. Ask Him for mercy, trust His sovereign goodness, show mercy to those who have hurt you, and let your faith be a living faith that is seen in love, obedience, and a pure heart. According to your faith in Him, He will do what is right and good, in His time and according to His perfect will.
