We join with you in lifting your grandpa before the Lord, trusting in His power to heal and restore. The Scripture reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We stand in faith, believing that God is able to bring complete healing to your grandfather’s body, eliminating the infection in his elbow and arm, and strengthening him after this fall and surgery. May this antibiotic be effective by God’s grace, and may His healing power flow through every part of your grandpa’s body.
We also pray for divine favor over your grandfather in the hospital—favor with the medical staff, that they would be attentive, compassionate, and diligent in his care. The Lord is a God of justice, and we ask that He would expose any negligence and bring correction where needed, ensuring your grandpa receives the proper attention and treatment he deserves. Proverbs 21:1 tells us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* We declare that Yahweh will turn the hearts of those caring for your grandpa, that they would act with wisdom, skill, and kindness.
At the same time, we encourage you to hold fast to hope, even in this difficult season. Psalm 41:3 says, *"Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness."* We trust that the Lord is sustaining your grandpa, and we pray for supernatural comfort and peace to fill his heart and yours. May this trial draw your family closer to the Lord, deepening your faith as you witness His faithfulness.
We also want to commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Let us continue to approach the throne of grace boldly in His name, knowing that He intercedes for us.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved grandfather. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch his body. Remove every trace of infection, restore strength to his bones and muscles, and bring complete recovery from this fall and surgery. Let Your healing power flow through him, renewing his health and vitality. We pray for Your favor to surround him in the hospital—guard him from further harm, and let the medical staff be instruments of Your care and compassion. Expose any negligence, Lord, and bring conviction and change where it is needed. We also ask for Your peace to fill the hearts of this family, replacing fear and anxiety with trust in Your sovereignty. May this situation be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness, drawing many to glorify Your name. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus. In His precious and holy name we pray, Amen.
