Please help me pray for my niece. She is in her 20's and has decided to become a model. She has no experience whatsoever. Why she decided about this my family and I do not know. She was called to an open call model casting. And from research, her mother and I found out that modeling agency was a scam. We let my niece know that the agency was a scam, but she went anyway. She called me yesterday after attending the agency call and they wanted her to sign a contract up front and they wanted $1,400 from her to take pictures and classes as well. The good thing is, she did not give into to their demands. It was a scam just like we had researched and warned her about. We are not sure who or what has put this in her mind to become a model and to take that direction for her life. I am a former actor in the motion picture industry and I know the modeling industry very well as I had friends who were models. She has been asking me for advice about the modeling industry and I have been truthful with her. She wants me to help her out and get started, and I'm willing to do so, but at the same time, upon the Lord's discretion, I do not want to lead her astray and into that industry that is plagued with alcoholism, drugs, eating disorders, sex abuse, and egos. We have been asking her why she wants to do this, but we have not received an answer. She is very naïve about things, especially concerning this. She is a very striking young woman in regards to her looks, but she is not a model. In two weeks, she wants me to go with her to a reputable modeling agency to meet with them at an open call. I said I would go with her to make sure she is protected in that no one takes advantage of her. If the Lord is willing, I would like to use that day, and that circumstance, to witness to her. And to even use the current testimony of several Victoria Secret models, who have recently left the professional model industry and gave their hearts to Jesus. Please pray for her, and me, and that the Lord gives her wisdom, and that she comes to her senses, and that she will hopefully give up on the modeling idea sooner than later. Please, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, feel free to also give me advice concerning this matter. Lord Jesus, I pray these things. In your name. Amen!
