We lift up your daughter to the Lord today as she steps onto the softball field, especially in her role as pitcher. Father God, we ask that You fill her with Your strength and peace, casting out any fear or doubt that may try to take root in her heart. Remind her that her worth and identity are found in You alone, not in the outcome of this game or the opinions of others. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB)
Lord, we pray that she would play with joy and confidence, remembering that You are with her in every pitch, every swing, and every moment. Help her to trust in Your presence, knowing that You go before her and stand beside her. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9 WEB) Let her find her smile again, not just in victory, but in the knowledge that she is Your beloved child, created with purpose and passion.
We also rebuke any spirit of defeat or discouragement that may try to weigh her down. Remind her that setbacks are not failures but opportunities to grow in perseverance and faith.
