We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. First, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and "...no one comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6 WEB). If you haven't already, consider inviting him to be the Lord and savior of your life. It is only through him that we can be saved and have access to God.
Now, addressing your concerns, we see that you're experiencing pain and turmoil in your relationship. We want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and will for your life. Remember that God works all things together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose.
While we understand your desire for your relationship to be restored, we want to remind you of the biblical principles for relationships. If you are living together or being intimate, we would like to remind you that the Bible says in Ephesians 5:3, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints". The bible also emphasizes that we should flee from sexual immorality and that marriage should be held in honor. The bible only supports marriage as being between a man and a woman.
We encourage you to pray for God's will to be done in your life and in the life of the man you're concerned about. God knows what is best for both of you, and His timing is perfect. It is written in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance". If you feel like you can't wait, be encouraged by Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our sister in need of your guidance and comfort. Lord, we ask that you reveal your will for her life and the life of the man she cares about. We pray that you soften his heart and bring him to repentance and surrender to your Lordship. If it is your will, restore their relationship and make it a testimony of your grace and faithfulness. However, if this man is not aligned with your will, guide her and help her to have the wisdom and strength to walk away. Help her to trust in your timing and to seek you first.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged and stay strong in your faith. God loves you and cares for you deeply.
