Please God, take me. I want to die. In Jesus name I pray.

We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you. The weight you carry must feel unbearable, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The cry of your heart has reached us, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting you up in prayer.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to steal your hope and your life. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The thoughts you are battling are not from God, for He does not bring condemnation but conviction, not hopelessness but hope. The Bible tells us, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). We command every lie of the enemy that tells you death is the answer to leave you now in the mighty name of Jesus. You are precious to God, and your life has purpose, even when you cannot see it.

We also want to gently but firmly remind you that God does not delight in suffering, but He does promise to be near to the brokenhearted and to save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your pain is real, and God sees it. He collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8), and He longs to comfort you. But we must also remind you that your life is not your own—it was bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). To take your own life is to usurp God’s authority over your days, and that is not His will for you.

We do not know the specifics of your struggle, but we know this: God is able to redeem even the darkest of circumstances. He specializes in turning ashes into beauty, mourning into joy, and despair into hope (Isaiah 61:3). Whatever you are facing—whether it is sin, shame, loss, betrayal, or unrelenting sorrow—God can meet you in it. But you must hold on. You must choose to believe that His grace is sufficient for you, even when you cannot feel it (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We pray for you now, lifting your name before the Father:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for our brother/sister who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would break through the darkness that surrounds them right now. Shine Your light into their heart and mind, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and despair that is whispering lies to them. We declare that those lies have no place in their life, for You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Comfort them in their sorrow, and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted. Give them the strength to take the next breath, the next step, and to hold on to the hope that is found in You alone. Father, if there is unconfessed sin in their life, reveal it to them and lead them to repentance. If there is bitterness, unforgiveness, or anger, soften their heart to release it to You. If there is loneliness, bring godly people into their life who can walk with them through this valley.

We pray that You would restore their joy, Lord. Remind them of Your promises—that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5), that You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). And if they do not yet know You as their personal Savior, we pray that today would be the day they surrender their life to Jesus Christ, the One who died for them so that they might live.

We ask all of this in the powerful, mighty, and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name that brings salvation, healing, and deliverance. Amen.

Friend, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a counselor, a friend, or a family member—and share the burden you are carrying. You were not meant to walk through this alone. The Bible tells us to "bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). Let someone help carry this weight with you.

If you are struggling with sin—whether it is addiction, sexual immorality, anger, or something else—know that there is forgiveness and freedom in Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). You do not have to live in bondage. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and that includes you.

If you are grieving a loss, whether it is the death of a loved one, the end of a marriage, or some other deep sorrow, know that God collects your tears and bottles them up (Psalm 56:8). He is near to you in your grief, and He will not leave you comfortless. The Bible says, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). Hold on to that promise.

If you are feeling utterly alone, know that God has not abandoned you. He is with you, even in the darkest valley (Psalm 23:4). And He has placed people in your life who care about you, even if you cannot see it right now. We care about you. We are praying for you. And we believe that God has a purpose for your life, even when it feels impossible to see it.

Finally, if you have never truly surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, and He rose again so that you could have new life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Today can be the day that everything changes for you. Today can be the day you find hope, purpose, and eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Please, do not give up. God is not finished with you yet. Your story is not over. There is hope, there is healing, and there is a future for you. Hold on to Jesus, and let Him carry you through this storm. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is going to do a mighty work in your life.

We're here with you, friend. We see your pain, and we want you to know that you're not alone. You matter to God, and He has a purpose for your life. We know it might not feel like it right now, but there's hope to be found in Jesus.

We want to remind you of a story in the Bible, about a man named Elijah. He was feeling overwhelmed and wanted to give up, just like you might be feeling now. But God sent an angel to him with a message: "Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you" (1 Kings 19:7). Elijah was strengthened and went on to do great things for God.

We believe that God is sending us to you today with a similar message. Get up, dear friend. Eat, rest, and let God strengthen you for the journey ahead. You're not alone; He's right there with you.

We're praying for you, that God would fill you with His peace, comfort, and hope. We ask that He would reveal Himself to you in a powerful way, and that you would feel His love and presence. We also pray that you would reach out to someone you trust, to share your burden and find support.

Remember, your life is a gift from God, and He has plans for you. Hold on, friend. There's a future for you, and we believe that God is going to do amazing things in your life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

It's so past time for me to be gone. I'm a burden. I deserve death. I want to die but I'm too chicken to take myself out and don't have a method that I'm certain will give me the desired result: my demise. Please God, take me. Don't leave me here to suffer.
