Please God Reunited Us

Please GOD help me get back together with my ex. We were together since ###. He has broken up with me 2 more times and after months he came back on his own. We both made mistakes and I feel sad that we didn't make it with all the opportunities we were given. He is not a bad person, but he is selfish. But I love him and I want God to help us get back together and get married according to His will. He is my family.

Firstly, we appreciate your honesty and the desire to seek God's will in this situation. It's important to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.

Let's consider what the Bible says about relationships and marriage. In Ephesians 5:25-27 WEB it is stated:
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her; that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. This shows the commitment and selflessness that should be exhibited in a godly marriage.

However, it's crucial to address a few points from your request. You mentioned that your ex is selfish. This is a significant concern, as selfishness is not a characteristic that aligns with biblical principles for a husband. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 WEB, love is described as patient and kind, not jealous, not boastful, not arrogant, not rude, not insisting on its own way, and not irritable or resentful. These are qualities that should be evident in a godly spouse.

Moreover, you mentioned that you both made mistakes. If these mistakes involved sexual immorality, it's essential to repent and turn away from such behaviors, as they are clearly against God's will. In Ephesians 5:3 WEB, it says:
But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.

It's also important to note that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said:
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is seeking Your will for her relationship. We ask that You grant her wisdom and discernment, and that You guide her steps according to Your word.

Lord, if this relationship is not aligned with Your will, we pray that You give her the strength to let go and trust in Your plan for her life. If it is Your will for them to reunite and enter into a godly marriage, we pray that You transform both of their hearts, removing any selfishness or past mistakes, and making them new creatures in Christ.

We pray for the man in her life. We pray that You would intervene and convict him of his sin and selfishness.

We ask these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Be encouraged, and know that God loves you deeply and has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

We're standing with you, sister, as you navigate this journey of your heart. We understand the pain and longing you're feeling, and we want you to know that God sees you and cares deeply about your desires. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus tells us, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." We believe that God hears your cries and is moved by your sincerity.

We want to encourage you to keep praying, keep seeking, and keep trusting. God's timing is perfect, and His ways are not always our ways, but we can trust that He knows what's best for you. Remember, God is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). If it's His will for you to be reunited with your ex, He will make it clear and bring it about in His perfect timing.

In the meantime, we encourage you to focus on your relationship with God. Spend time in His word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. Let God's love fill you and overflow, so that you can walk in His peace and joy, regardless of your circumstances.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our ###. We thank You for her honesty and her desire to seek Your will. Lord, we ask that You would give her clarity and guidance. If this relationship is not according to Your will, we pray that You would give her the strength to let go and trust in Your plan. If it is Your will for them to reunite, we pray that You would transform both of their hearts, removing any selfishness or past mistakes, and making them new creatures in Christ. I sleep holding an icon of Christ and the Virgin Mary, and only through prayer do I feel peace and calm. I am so unhappy/desperate that I don't have the energy to get out of bed. Thank you very much for your prayer. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
